I haven't done anything around the house for days... and am completely unmotivated to do so.  Need to pop in here for some inspiration!

Feeling... blah.

Oh yeah, Fortune,
I'm sure you've done some things, no matter how small. It's cool to list them. You'd be surprised to see how much you've done.

this is what i like about this thread, ... it helps in many different ways

- if you haven't done much, you can find inspiration reading other's lists of achievements

- if you managed to get going, you can sit down, post what you did and hopefully feel "boosted" doing it

... even when i don't post, i think of this thread & it helps me with some chores around our flat .....

that said, this morning i haven't done much LOL ... appart from sitting at the computer !!!!!

Ok, finally got my behind in gear....

Washed 2 loads of dishes

One load of laundry

Swept kitchen, dining room, living room

Cleaned living room and dining room

Vacuumed

Cleaned kitchen

Paid bills

Did some emailing

Went to store

Feel a little better having got some stuff done.  Washer started leaking water on the floor, so didn't get to the laundry I wanted.  Hopefully it's an easy fix for my husband so I can get back to it tomorrow!

Not sure what it is-  The time change maybe?  I've just been so low energy lately.  Glad I cleaned up today though, as one of my daughter's teachers made a surprise visit just as I was finished!winky.gif

LOL ... one of my daughters' ex teacher (from second grade, ... she's in grade 9 now !!!!) is visiting from abroad in less than a month & i invited her group for a buffet meal in our flat => am definitely gearing up on what to throw away, give or put away out of sight ...

mind you, at this time of the day, i shouldn't linger too much at the computer,

this is my set morning for clearing up at least a cubic meter or two of "stuff" !!!!!!

this morning

- cleaned up the sink, one load of laundry

- managed to burn a pan with stewed apples (yes .... i had gone to the computer and forgot about the pan !!!)

- also working my way through what is in the freezer (= harder meal planning !!!) since i need to defrost it soon-ish

- sent a few e-mails, planning activities for this coming Saturday & the second week of the Easter school holidays (so that the kids go to some sport day camp or other & i don't end up needing 10 days alone to recover afterwards .....)

am off to

- declutter my files and papers on knitting, crochet, embroidery, macrame and the like ....

- remove everything off the top of the computer armoire

- remove everything off the top of the piece of furniture that is in the entry & is a "catch all area"

=> throw away at least half & re-organise the rest ....

Hello !

today i sort of "grounded myself" so as to progress a bit on the decluttering

i wish it would be a faster process but it's so anxiety provoking that in the end am happy for any progress (if frustrated)

so today i went food shopping for a few items

then did three loads + last night washing up + shinned the sink + change a double bed (but not the duvet cover so it wasn't so back breaking)+ sanitised the toilet

threw away stuff, re-organised some other stuff

i need to go and weigh something at the post office before picking DD2 from school

You all inspired me. Last week I did six sessions of fifteen minutes in the kitchen. It went from terrible to immaculate. I couldn't believe it was possible.

Thank you!

Hello,

the weather is finally improving over here

(+ it seemed lately that it was raining mostly on Wednesdays when youngsters don't have school and on Saturday and Sundays ....upsetting both for kids AND parents, scratching their brains to entertain & "cabin fever" can be too much at the end of winter ....)

so am feeling more motivated with some sort of "spring cleaning" !!!

am so glad we have this thread to motivate us

& also all the past reading and printing of lists and pondering about how to go on about my tasks .... am finally feeling that i am "cashing in" with all the "work-thoughts" i put in in the past & finally feeling much more at peace about "in process" housechores

yesterday afternoon i took the time to bake cinnamon cookies and that was a real pleasure

this morning i got up earlier than i did all winter so it ended up being easier with chores

so far i

- washed up, sanitised toilet

- boiled some black beans that i let soak a bit too long - hope it will be all right

- one load taken down and folded, one load made and up on the clothes drier on the balcony, second load in the machine

- made some meatballs (a few for DD1 packed lunch tomorrow, the rest for the freezer)

- wrote a few e-mails

- read a few/too many posts, need to stop procrastinating at the computer & learn my dance routine for my class in two hours time ....

have a nice day !

hello,

two kids not at school today so my day doesn't progress as smoothly as i would like .... still, so far, i

- air my bedroom, made my bed

- washed one load, put it up to dry on balcony

- washed my 4 water points

- e-mailed and rang to work out our time-table for this coming Saturday ....

- sat a bit too much at the computer but that's going to chance since we are heading off to the market/library/fabric shop ....

have a nice day !!!!
