hug2.gif You'll get it done, Okimom. I'm so sorry you're having a difficult time. Moving can be stressful, indeed. I hope you're sleeping now (nearly quarter to 2 EST). The caffeine I consumed today keeps me awake.

Jumping in on this thread. I have at times battled, at times surrendered to, disorganization all my life, and now that I live in a real house with a husband and baby, I don't wanna do it anymore! I just started doing the FlyLady thing almost 2 weeks ago and am seeing some positive changes. I like this setting the timer for 2, 5, 15 minutes thing. So I'm subscribing.

Ok, Ive been horrible at keeping my lists updated but I have been doing things.. We are about 4/5ths of the way done with the apartment. Right now Im at my Inlaws doing laundry with my middle girl sleeping in the other room, my baby is with my husband over at our apartment (about a block away) working on cleaning and my oldest is spending a special night with my inlaws at the hotel (its her birthday tomorrow and shes been begging for a sleepover with grandma).. I need to get a few things done while I wait for laundry to get done..

3 loads laundry

finish my oldest daughter's birthday dress for tomorrow

try to finish the scripture tote for tomorrow (my oldest asked that I finish her dress and not worry about the tote until after the move but I want to try to finish it anyway since I have to be up)

Thats it! Hopefully I can get it done if my pets allow it. They haven't seen me since yesterday so they are ALL over me.. Anyone who says cats don't show affection when you get home has never met me kitty., Hes climbing all over me, licking me, head butting me etc. The dog would be all over the place as well but I banished him to the back yard so he didn't break anything. I guess my pets missed me.

Welcome to the thread, Katie. I do hope you will get a grip on your house, little by little, and that eventually keeping it somewhat okay will be a breeze. Just remember, that there will be days when the dishes are towering over your head, there's nothing to wear and the dust bunnies are chasing each other over the floor trying to escape your little one. That is okay, just get back on track one little step at a time. :)

Okimom, that is so cute with your pets! My cat greet me in the morning, sort of going: "Oh, you are awake! Now you pet me...no, not like that. No. No. Hm, nah, I want to play now. Your fingers look like little mice. Attack!' But he is only six months old, so hopefully he will get over the "attack part" soon with a lot of stern telling him.

Anyhow, today I have:

- Got up and dressed to slippers

- Fluffed my bed and am airing it before making it.

- Drank 1/4 glasses of water (working my way up to 8 a day).

- Made tea and had a dark bread cheese sandwich for breakfast.

- Wrote down and sent my sister my sourdough recipe, including careful instructions.

- Written down all my schedules into my calendar, so I have them all in one place (and in a hard copy).

- Rebooted laundry

- Rinsed the dishwasher filter.

- Put on a dishwasher.

- Watered plants upstairs.

- Drank 2/4 & 3/4 glasses of water.

- Emptied and refilled dishwasher.

- Emptied sink.

- Wiped down stove top

- Wiped down dishwasher front.

- Had lunch.

I do plan to:

- Finish graphic assignment for a course I am taking.

- Water plants downstairs.

- Clean table.

- Do 30 minutes of indoor exercise/walking.

- Drink 4/4 glasses of water.

- Relax.

- Have dinner.

- Put out clothes for tomorrow.

- Sleep at a decent hour.

Ok, so the past two nights I had an extra 5 year old (DIABETIC!!!) over for sleepovers, and wow was that exciting! The house is mostly fine, I stayed on top of dishes and floor, but we still have a tent set up in the living room. :P I'm bribing my oldest that if she does her new homeschool work (writing and reading and caterpillar studies) that she can sleep in the tent tonight.

Today I need to;

~Get together paperwork for Medical (that I've already filled out but they SWEAR they didn't get)

~Write an email to an upset customer (who no longer fits a custom piece because she gained weight   :(  )

~Clean my sewing room

~Purge a bit out of my wardrobe

~Take girls to art studio

~Do a sketch of my first bridal order

~Reading my library books

There's more but my oldest wants to play on the computer. :)

I spent most of the day enjoying Sunday..drinking tea, knitting my socks, playing with the kids..and of course making yummy meals.. but, tonight while the kids were in the tub i gave the bathroom a good scrub. its been a while redface.gif somehow  the worse jobs are the ones that always feel  the most rewarding when the job is done. nothing like a squeaky clean bathroom! even though in my house (myself, 4 kids & 2 cats) our one bathroom gets gross fast. anyways, kitchen still needs a quick tidy, and living room needs to be picked up and swept once the wee ones are in bed. i have my first day of childcare tomorrow, so i want things to be tidy..

Last week was a total bust for me at getting anything done.  The baby and my 3yo DD weren't sleeping well and I was playing "musical beds" every night.  Hopefully we've turned a corner.

This morning I've:

-unloaded the dishwasher

-unloaded the dishrack

-got a load of laundry in the washer

-separated out the next load to go in

On the to do list for today:

-school (math, reading, handwriting)

-wash the pots in the sink

-rotate more laundry in the washer/ dryer

-wash a load of diapers, too- in the dryer

-fold ALL the laundry (I think there's 2 clean loads in my bedroom, plus the loads that will be washed todayyikes2.gif)

-move a dresser into my bedroom and transfer all the baby's clothes into it

-straighten up the living room

-vacuum the main living area

I am feeling a little overwhelmed today. All of a sudden the mail has piled up, the recycling is full, the bathroom sink looks gross, and ds and dh's dirty laundry is all over the place.

Today I have:

made breakfast

done a flylady 2 minute "hot spot"

done a flylady 5 minute "room rescue"

changed the sheet in the cosleeper

started a load of ds's laundry

unloaded the dishwasher

took ds on a walk to the pharmacy to pick up an rx and get coffee

I need to:

do 15 min of decluttering

clean the catbox

take out the trash- did not get this done before it started pouring rain, but the trash is bagged and by the door, ready to go when the rain stops!

put away baby boy's clean laundry

sort mail

vacuum kitchen floor (not sure if I can make this happen)

plan/cook dinner

another 2 minute hot spot

Maybe putting it on this thread will get my butt in gear!
