10-15 Minute Cleaning Sessions (New Thread) - Page 15

We had a two hour delay for snow (read: wet roads). My little woke up with ear pain through the night, and we will need a note for missing school, so I made a doctors appointment later this afternoon.

Otherwise, I am laying low today.

I would like to:

...make dentist appointments and eye appointments for everyone

...pick up as I feel like it through out the day

...prep dinner

I hope everyones families are feeling better! Oki, fingers crossed to hear some good news from you today!

Spending the day waiting on the relators call.. and waiting.. and waiting.. Im not a very patient person!

Ugh! hopmad.gif

SO frustrated! I have literally been trying to make a dentist appointment with our new insurance since I originally posted this morning. Back and forth, back and forth, disconnected, transferred, wrong information, recorded message: "now in training so call back in an hour!"  banghead.gif

I got the kitchen pretty straight while I was on hold, though. Otherwise, this has been a complete and utter waste of my morning, since I still don't have a dentist, let alone an appointment, for any of us!

Okay, sorry...rant over. redface.gif

Thanks Monkey! It explains why I feel yucky and Im exhausted. Im hoping morning sickness doesn't hit until after we get our moving shipments and I unpack.. I hope the dentist problem straightens itself out. Anyway you can talk to the insurance? When I was having problems with my medical insurance I called Tricare and Tricare called the doctor that was causing problems to straighten everything out.

In other news, we got the house!! We are signing the lease today and moving in tomorrow. Hopefully we can get TMO early next week..! Im doing a happy dance over here (and my kids are laughing at me! Mean children!) joy.gifjumpers.gif

YAY!~!  On the house!  Sounds great!

All great news Oki. Congratulations on the pregnancy and the new house. partytime.gif

Good afternoon, everyone! Late start for me because it took forever to fall asleep. No more kiddos in this home to wake me up at the crack of dawn, a good and a bad thing. winky.gif Today's plan (keeping it light tonight because my allergy shots often make me feel achy and yucky):

Shower

Take meds/supps

Eat something

Schedule some appointments for the rest of the month

Take soup out of the freezer

Take Benadryl before leaving for allergy shots!!!!!!!

Get allergy shots & have appointment with allergist (walk there and to other errands)

Take some giveaway things to the drop-off on the way to the store

Pick up a few groceries

Heat soup for dinner

Tidy my chair-side table in the living room

Put groceries away

If I'm feeling up to it I need to sweep and mop the kitchen floor.

Update: Didn't take soup out because DH is fast-fooding it with his brother tonight and I'm having him bring me a taco. I know, I know... winky.gif  Still looks like I'll tidy my table, just resting after being out and about.

Final update for Thursday: Tidied/organized chair-side table, plus wiped it and two other living room tables. Also put away a few items of laundry. Oh, and paid bills!!!!

Oh hey, I found you all = D thanks for the link, PoetryLover!!

Just ran out to switch the laundry over to the dryer... I should be grateful that the laundromat attendant lets me go thru the back door, but these days when I leave it a little bit ajar so I can get back in without knocking he always shuts it. Just now I had to pound til my knuckles were raw and wait like four minutes for him to saunter back from his perch in the front of the place. I can't help but think he does it *just* so he can flirt when he has to open the door for me. Today it was "can you answer one question for me?" [blocking the entry] "what is the secret to being so beautiful?" Sometimes I appreciate the flattery but I am working from home and I get a half hour total of break time, that's not a lot to run back and forth three to four times.. and if I wasn't able to stretch that break time some days or if it wasn't so close to my home, I don't know how I would ever get laundry done, I'd have to pay by the pound for it to be done or have a much better supply of socks & underwear! lmao.

Dinner prep will have to be another quick spurt, and after daycare pick up I need to somehow stop at two stores (the items I need at one would be double the price and/or lower quality at the other, and vice-versa!! yearg I kinda need a car, heh.).... get the kiddo in bed by 8:30 (hey at least she doesn't need a bath tonight 2whistle.gif) and I would love to rearrange the furniture but ....not sure I can find something better. Company on Friday eve and during the day Saturday, need to have everything "just so."

I'm chuckling at the thought of the laundromat guy flirting with you. How sweet!

Yay! Happy moving day, Oki! joy.gif

I need to do 15 mins of cleaning - on super speed, like NOW! I did absolutely nothing last night, and it shows...

Then need to take my son to school (the other is home with an ear infection, poor guy). And be at a tour of a potential new school by 10am.

I have to get showered and dressed in there, somewhere, too.

Then its home to clean up for real. And pack for my weekend on call with another homebirth practice.

My husband is busy tonight, so its just me and the kids until we go to bed.

...living room straightened and vacuumed

...kitchen - dishes, counters, floors swept and washed

...bathroom wiped down

...my bedroom picked up, bed made and floor vacuumed

Happy Friday, everyone! smile.gif

Oh no, Mom31! greensad.gif I hope you find it soon! Sometimes, when I do that, I say its my future self socking it away for when I need it more than I think I do now.

bejeweled - celebrating with you that you found your cell phone! I literally just got back from the AT&T store...again. I know all of the reps there sooo well...eyesroll.gif

This time it was my fault. Smashed my phone, and broke the touch screen. Lost a good bit of my contacts because they need the touch screen to transfer the numbers over. But worse, I had FOUR months of births listed on memos that are now lost forever. I am so sad to lose that information. greensad.gif Going to try and piece things together best I can, but I'm sure it won't be complete...

On a happier note, I'm sitting on the couch  with my sick little home from school, eating soft pretzels with yummy mustard. yummy.gif

I had a wretchedly emotional day (PMSing?) but I did manage to sweep and mop the kitchen floor and clean the bathroom (except the tub/shower). And I made dinner. Glad the day wasn't entirely lost.

Mom31, did you find the money?

Wow, seems like everyone had a rough end to the week.. Hopefully everyones weekend is better!

Good and bad of yesterday:

Bad- we ended up having to find a new home for our pup. He started taking bites at me and the baby. After he got a piece of the baby I couldn't in good conscious keep him and found a place without children for him. We also stopped by the new house and found it has never really been cleaned since the last people left, there is at least 20-30 hours of work to do to make it so Ill let the kids stay there. There is also a TON of personal things left in the attic from the last people that we need to see what the rental people want to do with. The shed was never locked and has become a teenage party ground so there was a lot of yuckiness in there. Fun times for the next few days,

Good- Overall the house is great.. Its about 100 feet from a large city park and about a 5 minute walk from the library. The neighborhood is a bit run down but thats typical of a military community and the neighbors I ran into seemed really nice. We managed to get the water turned on yesterday afternoon so we are working on cleaning it up today..

Today we are going to:

make a trip by sam's club

clean the kitchen and living room of the house

knit at least 1 of the mug cozys I need by the 14th.

laundry and pack up the hotel room.
