Sorry you're feeling so yucky, Okimom! That makes it really hard to get things done. It must be exciting to have your things coming tomorrow!

Despite taking meds and lying down at a decent hour I could not get to sleep until at least 4:30 this morning, but I made sure to get up at 11:00 so I can get things done. I'm so done with this insomnia, darn it! Go awaaaay!

I'm dressed, put a load of laundry together for DH to take to the complex laundry room to wash--I'll hang it later.

My hopes for today:

*hang laundry

*sort through at least 2 drawers in the living room

*minestrone for dinner

*walk

*clean the outside of the 2 drawers & 2 cupboards beside the stove--they're so gross!

Happy Valentines Day! DH got me a card and a cute pair of Valentine socks. heartbeat.gif

I need to:

Fold and put away clothes

Put a load of towels washing

Do the dishes

Get the trash can from the road

Throw a pile of boxes away

Pay some bills

Order some pictures

Make supper

Give the kids baths

My hopes for today:

*hang laundry to dry also put away the laundry that was hung yesterday

*sort through at least 2 drawers in the living room

*minestrone for dinner

*walk and cashed in over $5 of returnable bottles & cans as part of the walk

*clean the outside of the 2 drawers & 2 cupboards beside the stove--they're so gross!

So far I've cleaned the outside AND inside of one drawer and the second drawer has been emptied and sprayed down. Didn't make sense not to do the insides since I was doing the outsides. I also wiped down the fridge.

ETA: Clean inside and outside of both drawers and cupboards, woot! Purged a handful of things into the trash and giveaway box in the process. DH has gotten into the spirit and is doing some dusting.

*hang laundry I also put away the dry laundry from the racks

*sort through at least 2 drawers in the living room Sorted through the whole sideboard/dresser thingy! Helps that I did it a few-ish months ago

*minestrone for dinner Just need to put the leftovers in the fridge and freezer

*walk And returned about 100 cans/bottles for deposit as part of the walk

*clean the outside of the 2 drawers & 2 cupboards beside the stove--they're so gross! Cleaned the outsides and insides

Also shredded some papers, boxed up a return to ship back to Amazon tomorrow, and folded about a dozen paper cranes. I was on a roll today. Sooo thankful my pain and mood have been pretty good today! And hubby did a bit of dusting, tidied my cooking mess, and swiffered the kitchen floor. When he sees me doing things he wants to do things too, yay!

My To Do list is a mile long today!!  I didn't do dishes last night after making dinner and dessert...the pile is huge!!

Plus loads of laundry and cleaning up.  I better get started!

I feel awful today an don't want to do anything- but I am going to make myself go to work and make myself do stuff around this house- thats the plan anyway

Good morning. smile.gif

I had a VERY busy weekend, no sleep, eating from gas stations, drove almost a thousand miles between babies. Yesterday, I literally stayed in bed all day. And today is a dreary rainy day, so I cancelled plans and am staying home to catch things up. Bigger kids off from school tomorrow, so it will be nice to just hang out with them.

Okay, I am really going to try to do my list in 15 min increments today:

...general pick up

...wash tables

...sweep/vacuum

...wipe bathroom down

...dishes

...counters and cabinets

...stove

...fridge

...sweep kitchen / laundry / bathroom

...mop floors

...clean up bedroom

Bonus chores:

...spray windows (going a bit out of order here...I think I'm avoiding the kitchen! redface.gif)

...clean up my daughters room for her - she would be so happy to come home to a cleaned up room! love.gif

I didn't get much of anything done yesterday, every time I stand up at all I get sick to my stomach. My brother gets horrible motion sickness and I use to tease him about it but I think I will stop now. Every time I move I get sick to my stomach.. Thank goodness for sea bands and the fact they help some with morning sickness so I can function a little today..

So far I have;

slept in innocent.gif

cleaned up the house a bit

the movers came with all our personal items from Okinawa (still have a storage shipment and the shipment from Florida to deal with)

I need to

Find my knitting needles

finish the knitting project Im working on

clean up the kitchen some.

I need to make it a habit to come here and post. Lol!

Today I:

Got up and fed/dressed DS2, hubby took care of DS1

Went to the dr for my 6 wk pp appointment.

Parent Teacher Conference.

Came home, started laundry.

Loaded and started the dishwasher

Drank de-caff coffee

Folded laundry

and in between i changed diapers, fed baby, snuggled with baby, and took care of DS1.

I am so tired though, baby is 6 weeks old and has started fussy time at night and so I didn't sleep much.

Oh and today I also wasted my life away by checking Facebook and before I knew it I was on there for a while, all this while DS2 was napping and I should've napped.

I'm achy and fatigued today but I did get dry laundry put away and wet laundry hung on the racks to dry. I love that task! It's so satisfying to see the towels and rags and such all lined up on the racks. I wish we could have a clothesline outside but I'm so thankful for our racks. In a bit I'm going to sort through some boxes of stuff in the bedroom and hopefully get some things out of the apartment for the 2012 in 2012 challenge. Taking it easy today.

EuroMama, yes, come here and post! love.gif It sure makes a difference for me, even when some of you ladies leave me in the dust. LOL And boy do I know how Facebook sucks time. Oy.

OkiMom, I hope you're not too sick and exhausted today.

Mom31, how are you feeling today? I've been thinking about you because I so often feel like I'm trying to ward off a nervous breakdown. Hugs!

You're doing great, everyone!

Congratulations on your new baby EuroMama. Yes, come here and get credit for your work. I'm sure you're doing it anyhow. smile.gif Sometimes I feel like I've done nothing all day, then I look at my list and I'm usually pleasantly surprised. thumb.gif
post #339 of 1665

Spent this morning at the ER with my son, hes one sick little buckaroo. Luckily he is able to keep the anti naseua meds down so he was able to come home with us (there was serious concern over dehydration since hes so tiny). This is the second time hes been sick since coming over here, guess he doesn't like North Carolina much! Poor kid has lost over 3 lbs since moving down here (came here at 21 was 18 when they weighed him at the ER).

Tomorrow I need to start reclaiming my house from the boxes! Im concentrating on the kitchen so I can actually COOK again. My girls are getting really tired of ready made meals and fast food. They want some good mommy food.

Hope to get done:

finish up the knitting project

lay down papers in cupboards

empty dishwasher and do dirty dishes

empty dishwasher and start washing things from the boxes

wipe down counters

wipe down table

sweep/mop floor

Like to get done but I don't see it getting done:

pick up around the living room

pick up the master bedroom including hanging laundry

put together drawers in the girls room

put rest of stuff in shed and lock shed
