bejeweled- I hope your daughter enjoyed the time with her grandparents. I started spending a few weeks a summer with my grandma at 13 and did until I joined the military at 19. I have so many fond memories of that. She passed last year, Im so grateful for the time I got to spend with her while she was living.

I didn't get as much done yesterday as I hoped. The kiddos needed some extra attention, they are missing their Daddy right now.

Today I need to try to:

clean up my room

clean up the hall way

do some laundry (done 3 loads so far!)

clean up around the living room

vacuum living room, hall, bedroom

finish dishes

clean off the table

make dinner (spaghetti and garlic bread)

I got the boys ready and went to the park for a play date

Made lunch

Put away dishes

Washed lunch dishes

Wrote several short articles

Matched socks (now of the great things about summer coming--less socks)

Gave youngest a bath

Cleaned the litter box

Sent and replied to several emails concerning summer schedule stuff

Started one load of laundry

Folded and put away another load of laundry

Did dishes

I have an hour left to see what else can be done--probably book reading with my son and maybe swishing through the bathrooms.

After school I have to take the kids to the ice rink for my daughter's lessons, and dinner will be leftovers.

Oki, How fortunate you were to spend those formative years with her. Where did your grandma live? They all had a blast together. I think they enjoy it even more when I'm not around. It's like they get to be parents again and form their own special bond.

- written checks for two bills (but we are out of stamps so need to get out and get some)

- informed the children that there's no TV to be watched for the moment since they woulden't do their homework for Thursday on Monday evening

(we were out on Tuesday evening) so am not popular right now LOL

- am wondering when I'm going to be able to fit in some sort of physical activity for today ....

(& wish i had a little more "time alone" before the children woke up, i feel less able to complete my "to do list" suddently, and it's not yet 8:00 am !!!)

Oki that's really nice to read that you have good memories of time with your grandma, and you too B that your daughter spends time with hers.  I never had time with grandparents, and my kids don't have a very close relationship with theirs either unfortunately.  But I am really hoping that I can be a good grandma one day if I have grandchildren. orngbiggrin.gif
