-did the dishes
-cleaned the kitchen sink
-wiped down table & counters
-washed the wall over the stove
-played Trouble with the kids
-took the trash out
-painted my nails
I still need to:
-do a load of laundry
-put laundry away
-tidy the living room
-return library materials
Hope you're all having a good day!
today i did my cleaning morning routine ... in the afternoon & after having a nap
... but i did it and am glad of it
(upon waking up, i felt not too well but remembered about this thread and kept going !)
also went to the laundromat for a duvet (... that has sat various places for the last 3 months
since i was just going to get going about it ... except there were always more urgent stuff to do first)
i used to be able to wash them in our washing machine ... but it broke and the new one is slightly smaller
so these duvets don't fit
the laundromat is only 200 meters away at most
so i wish i had done it sooner ....
better late than never !
tomorrow being the last day of August, i really hope i get the time & energy
to hand wash my danse costumes (the end of year show was late June, but we left for a week
the next day, and i never seemed to have a minute to myself since ....)
didn' t get round to wash the danse costumes yesterday
wet mopped two bedrooms, bathroom and corridor,
about to mop kitchen shortly
am preparing a quinoa salad to bring to a picnic in a park
had to undo a bit of my present crochet work, hope to be able to re-do it "correctly" during the picnic
hope to get the strengh to marshal the children into helping me wash some windows
(am trying to get them more involved a bit more often
DH is NOT on board
apparently it triggers some bad memories from his childhood ....
i find it hard to cope about that now ... not so much the children but DH's undermining my work !)
Whew, it's been a busy week! Playing catch-up today. So far I:
-made coffee and enjoyed it before the kids woke up
-printed out a few forms I need to fill out this weekend
I plan to:
-keep up with the dishes
-fill out forms
-tidy up the living room and kitchen
-clean out cat box
-wipe down bathroom
-fold & put away laundry - I'm way behind on this!
-wash a load of laundry once I have a free basket
-tidy hall & linen closets a bit
-work on outlining edu psych chapter
-finish reading art history chapter
-read with kids
-help older boys practice writing & math facts
-outside play time
Have a good day!
Hello ladies !!!
Did you miss me ?
We had the AB-SO-LU-TE-LY best 10 days , we have had in years !
And my Mommy surprised me by saying " I am coming with you , if you want me to " , when we got ready to leave ! If we want her to ? Is she kidding ?
OF COURSE we want her to !
Anyway , first day home and I am right back to the daily grind !
So far , I have
- washed 2 loads of clothes
- mopped the floor in the living room
- dishwasher : filled , emptied , filled again
- made dinner
- emptied ( part of ) the car
- paid a couple of bills
and hopefully tonight take a long bath
I have been neglecting things again.. Just soo tired But I got to start getting things ready for the baby, Im 35 weeks and I still haven't done much other than have my girls pull the newborn clothing out (which was great at teaching the numbers 0-3 ).. I just lack motivation and energy.. My oldest just went through yet another growth spurt (she has grown almost 4 inches since March!) and yet again has no clothing to fit her so I need to get on that as well. Shes worn the same two dresses for the last 2 weeks. At least we have kept up with the girls school work for the most part
Need to work on today:
get kids dressed/ready for day
brush out my hair
Finish the File Folder games I started last month so I have them done
finish the science folders I started last month
redo schedule because its just not working
draft pattern for daughter's dresses.. Thinking of making a wider hem so I can let it out easier if she grows again
draft a new pattern for skirts
cut out at least 3 dresses and 3 skirts
reorg school bookcase yet again, the kids decided to pull all the books off it this weekend.
school things with the oldest (and middle if she likes): phonics (almost done), math, science, country of the week, music, read aloud, circle time, handwriting, art project
quick clean house
laundry- 5 loads- 3 done
clean both bathrooms
make 3 loaves of bread- rising
figure out meals for rest of week going off the month's meal plan
remind hubby to make eye appointment for our oldest, she is complaining she cant see her lessons..I don't know if its just her being a pain (she likes to come up with excuses why she can't do something when she doesn't want to) or if there is a problem but Id rather be safe than sorry.
dinner tonight: chicken breasts and mashed potatoes
if I have the energy/motivation:
find bootie pattern
cast on booties for blessing outfit
