Yes I agree with what you are saying. I'm just not sure about how it works in the church.

Praying for Kay.

NAz - How are you doing?  How is baby Lydia?

Prayer request - Please pray for my husband.  It looks like he will be facing some serious health issues and could use lots of prayers.  Thanks.

Mother's day plans?? Does your church do something?

Hey ladies! I am so sorry it took me so long to get back on here.  We got in about two weeks ago but things have been crazy since we got back and are just starting to calm down.  I am not sure that I mentioned that Dh's grandfather had stage 4 cancer, we picked up my BIL to take him back to Texas with us so that Dh and BIL could both spend time with the their grandfather before he passed.  I took Dh down to do his training on the Friday after we got in and his grandfather passed the following Tuesday.  Dh is glad that he got to see him, but sad that he was not able to come for the funeral.  Dd is really confused about the whole thing.  We thought she was grasping it fine, and was talking about how her Papa was in Heaven and Jesus made him well again. At the family night  I did not want her to see him in the casket, but MIL took her up there before I could tell her not too (I had just gotten there and was greeting family) and Dd didn't know what to think.  She looked at her Memaw (great-grandma) and said "I thought Papa Thomas was in Heaven, y'all didn't tell me he was just asleep!", it broke all of our hearts.  I tried to explain to her that night that Papa Thomas' soul was in Heaven but his body was just here, that he really wasn't here anymore but I don't think she understood.  When we went to the funeral the next day she kept saying "Jesus made my Papa Thomas all better and took his sickness away, so is he going to wake up and say hi to me today?"  It was heartbreaking :(

John16n33- So sad. My heart is breaking as well.

Sosurreal- Praying for you and the birth. Due soon?

Sorry for your loss Meagan. That is so great she got to meet her Great Grandpa though and have a relationship with him. smile.gif

Thinking of you SO!

JOhn - That is heartbreaking.  In time she will understand.  How old is she?

Naz - how ya feeling?  Lydia?

Things are well here.  Thanks for the prayers for DH.  Looks like he is on the mend.  Will be a challenge, but certainly doable.  Now, on to more thoughts of going to Seminary.  Of course, he was just in meetings and was told that a promotion may be coming his way in the next year.  He already has a lot of responsibility, so adding this would be good for his career, more stress for him, and adds to the complicated situation regarding whether he should leave his job to pursue other avenues.  AHHH.  We are REALLY hoping to feel a difinitive answer from prayer.  No such luck yet.

SO- hope the baby comes today.

e&t- glad your dh is on the mend

She is four. I think it would have been a lot better if she wouldn't have seen him in the casket, at that age they just think so literally-you know? She can't grasp the fact that his body was there but his soul wasn't. I am very thankful that she did get to know him though, and that she will have memories of him to hold onto.

sosurreal09- Is the baby here yet?  I am praying for an easy labor and delivery if not, if so I pray all went well.

sosurreal- How are you? update?

john16n33- I will keep your DD in my prayers. It is hard to loose someone.

No baby yet! Please pray that I have this baby shortly. IDK if it's fear of something or what is going on. I have been in labor all week. Off and on. Last 2 days nothing but I am 5cm dilated and mostly effaced. I have a bulging bag of waters.

40+4 today

Meagan, thinking of your baby girl. Hopefully she has some peace soon. Can't say that I enjoy looking at a body w/out a soul either. Praying for her sweet heart.

Sosurreal, you are there mama. Prayers for an easy ( especially since you have had all the prodromal labor) & peaceful birth for you both.

Blessings everyone!
