Mostly I like listening to talk on Moody, Chuck Missler teaching through books of the Bible or preaching.

When I do listen to music it depends on my mood. I like classical, some crossover classical singers, some country-style stuff (old, not new), oldies (from up to the 50's), songs and pieces from movies, sometimes just the Christian kid songs we sang as kids is fun too. :)

I really like all kinds of music. BUT the funny thing is I can't "get into" christian music. Most sounds like the 80's music and I hated the 80's and it's music. I have a friend that is in a christian band I HATE the music but I like him and we are friends anyway  

We had a really great guest speaker yesterday at church. This guy was really great. I wish that he would come every week. Anyway I'm hoping for a great week. I'm going to try to stay +. I have been down and need to turn around.

Nazsmum, I here you on the Christian music! So, mostly in the car, I listen to NPR. When I want to listen to music, I prefer classical or classic rock, Texas country/folk, and great 60's/70's singer/songwriter stuff (like James Taylor).

Y'all were mentioning fall earlier? In theory I love the fall, but we don't really experience it on the Texas gulf coast. The most I can expect is for the highs to not consistently reach 100 during September. We have had a "break" from the heat this week with highs in the upper 80's/lower 90's. I would really love to live somewhere with four real seasons, so that I could wear jeans and sweaters and boots, and go apple picking, and drink warm beverages, and maybe get a little snow in winter. But I love the fall for the activities that we have! We love college football and go to all of the games of our alma mater. And I have always loved Halloween since my birthday is the day before it. And our family loves Thanksgiving and always has a huge gathering. And maybe, it really has to do with anticipating Advent, which is without a doubt my favorite church season. I love Advent candles and Advent music and participating in the Las Posadas. So, even though the weather will never be what I want it to be for fall, I do love this time of year.

Hope you all are having a lovely week! We have been really busy rearranging the house some and doing some cleaning out of closets in preparation for new baby (due in December). And I have had plenty of energy for helping sort and clean and organize, and even do some canning and baking just for fun!

I have been a believer for 34yrs and really don't know much about advent. I'm going to try to celebrate it this year. I LOVE Chanukkah. We light the candles each night, read the word then say what we are thankful for. Last year it was right in the middle of christmas and it was a little crazy. This year it is earlier in Dec. I just love the light and reading how Jesus is our light.

Oh no, I am praying for a fast recovery!  What happened?

I fell down the stairs...It is broken and I can't get a Dr. to see to till Thurs.

Oh no why not?  I would think you needed to get that looked at ASAP.

It is a LONNNNGGGGG story. But the short part is that between the holiday and my Dr. is out of town....It is just hard. I did get an x-ray so that part is done.

I just can't believe my life sometimes.

Wow!  It  has been a while.  

Nazsmum -  Holy cow.  i can't believe you are hanging out with a broken foot.  You can't go to acute care or something.  That sounds so painful.  I have a broken toe and it is killing me.  I can't imagine something serious.  Especially with wee ones to care for.

And a  blessed Rosh Hashanah!  Shana tovah u'metukah!    

We just celebrated our new year as well a couple of days ago.    I find it interesting that they fall in such close proximity.   But with the new year we are seeing a lot of changes.  Church school has started.  I am trying to get a whole years worth of lessons planned out before we get too far under way.  W are baby stepping through the liturgy this year and really digging in deep to the prayers and hymns.  or what passes for deep when you are between the ages of 6 and 9.  My goals are minimal.  i want to hear some singing LOL.

I have been crazy sick.  it started with a fever (which always throws me) and all my lymph nodes from head to toe swelled up.  That lasted for about 3 days and then resigned itself to living in my throat.  It is not mono, bacterial or lymphoma.  I was on steroids for a week.  That helped until they were gone.  Then the swelling came back.    My dr put me on antibiotics and I fussed and fumed (the blood work said it wasn't bacterial) and much to my chagrin when I finally broke down this morning and am seeing an improvement already.  It has been a month.  Time for this to go away.  

I have been knitting like crazy because I need money.  In one weeks time I had to register my car, a vet bill, a Dr. bill, a flea infestation, a speeding ticket (35 at the bottom of a hill.  seriously?! ugh.) and something else expensive I cannot recall.  SO I have been knitting and knitting.  9 baby sweaters with matching hats in 30 days.  

I love fall but it has become something to get through.  My kids are in band and soccer so I feel like I do is juggle schedules.  And at work they hired a bunch of high schoolers who are never available so despite spending 60 hours a week at work training them I still have no employees.  of course if I complain to HR then I am the bad guy...grrr....it's ok.....16 more weeks.  

My baby turns 16 in a couple of weeks.  I can't believe it.  

So there is my life in a nutshell :)

I've been without internet for a few days, OUCH! You doing okay? I've never broken more than small bones in fingers, toes/foot and cracked ribs. That's horrible. Hope you're better soon! Thurs is a long day away when you're in pain.
