Humidifiers

Just wanted to ask the mamas with experience...

I'd like to get a humidifier because we have pretty dry heat in our house, but I'm not sure if we should get cool mist or warm mist. Which do you find to be the best? Any humidifier recommendations? My head starts to spin when I look at consumer reviews.

I like the cool mist ones, but I think the warm ones are actually more effective. You just need to be more careful with cleaning  them, as far as I'm aware.
