Hey Connecticut Mothering.com mamas and papas! I thought some of you may be interested in the info for these meetings. See the info below and let me know if you have any questions about the group. I will bump up this post each month with the new meeting dates.

Central CT Babywearers Group Meetings
Come join us for a morning of talking about carriers! Whether you have questions about babywearing in general, are looking to try out a new type of carrier, need help with a carrier you own, or just want to connect with other babywearers in the area, this is the place to do it. Bring yourself, your kiddos, and your favorite carriers. If you are looking to try out a certain type of carrier, it's a good idea to post to the email list before the meeting to check to see if anyone coming can bring it.

Meeting Schedule*:
10am Arrival
10:10-10:30am Babywearing basics rundown (info about safety/positioning and types of carriers/pros&cons)
10:30am Quick round of introductions, then break into groups as needed for hands on help/trying on carriers
12pm Meeting ends
*All of our meetings follow the same loose time outline. If you are new to babywearing, we suggest arriving as close to the start time as possible so you can sit in on the babywearing basics rundown. This is especially helpful if you are trying to narrow down what type of carrier might work best for your family.

Middletown Meetings: We will meet on the second Thursday of the month from 10am-12pm at The Family Wellness Center of Middletown which is located at 635 Main St. Please note that the address number 635 is for the Community Health Center which the Family Wellness Center is a part of; look for a recessed glass door with plate glass windows on both sides, with blue trim, directly on Main St. There is metered street parking available on Main St.

New Britain Meetings: We will meet on the third Saturday of the month from 10am-12pm at The Family Wellness Center of New Britain which is located at 85 Lafayette St. Please note that the Family Wellness Center is within the Community Health Center building. The entrance to the Family Wellness Center is on the corner of Washington St. and Lafayette St. Parking is available in either the front parking lot near the entrance or the back parking lot further down Lafayette St.

Woodbridge Meetings: We will meet once a month from 10am-12pm at The Painted Pomegranate which is located at 360 Amity Rd. Please note that The Painted Pomegranate is located within the Jewish Community Center of Greater New Haven.

The Central CT Babywearers Group is led by Clover Heske and/or Heather Huebner, Babywearing Consultants who have completed the Basic Carrying Course of Die Trageschule, a carrying school located in Dresden, Germany.
