This New Year, we extend a special thank you to our friends and sponsors at Boba, Earth Mama Angel Baby, and Moon Mysteries!

Their generous donations of over $1,000 will support 75 young women of the Pads4Girls Uganda 2012 campaign. This fundraising effort is intended to benefit 300 young women of Kasana Town, Uganda! The non-profit Shanti Uganda, in partnership with Lunapads and AFRIpads, has organized a direct outreach program for the health and economic empowerment of women and girls in this war-torn and impoverished region in central Uganda. The Pads4Girls Uganda 2012 campaign will address preventive care and other wellness issues confronting at-risk girls and young women living with HIV and AIDS.

Help us meet our fundraising goal of $4,500 to provide 300 teenage mothers and school-aged girls with health and wellness workshops. For just $15, you can provide a girl in need with life-changing personal hygiene products and lasting education and empowerment!

Thanks to Mothering community members, we have raised enough to send 71 girls to Shanti Uganda's health and wellness workshops. We're almost a third of the way there!
