Central NC Waldorf inspired moms?

I am looking for a tribe of like minded people. I am interested in maybe a playgroup or homeschooling group around Central NC.

 

I have a 21 month old son and would love to have some connection with others.

Where is "Central NC"? The Triangle? Triad? You might try posting on the CHDAP list if that covers the area you're talking about.

I currently live in Franklin County but am willing to travel to Orange, Durham and Wake County as I have family there.

 

I am checking out the yahoo group you mentioned.

We are new to the area, and have a first grader, so I don't know what resources are for younger kids, but our dd is in first grade at Emerson Waldorf in Chapel Hill, and I KNOW some families of younger ones do play groups, etc. in the wider area.  You might try calling the school for information on local play groups.  They're super friendly!  919-967-1858  Good luck!

I am headed to the Emerson school this weekend for their annual Waldorf education day. I can not wait. I am so excited.

I'm also a 1st grade parent at EWS, and I highly recommend contacting someone in the Triangle Home Nursery Association. DD attended Morning Song, and I can't sing Ms Joya's praises enough! I'm sure she or someone else would have some ideas. Good luck!

Thanks for your suggestions. I will look into them now.

 

I am still very interested in getting together with other Waldorf inspired mom if anyone else is would love to hear fron you.

 

Jake is 22 months and we are getting to the point that I feel we can benefit for some small play outings.
