What handwork on you working on? - Page 2

Gunter, congratulations on your recent birth. Hope you are enjoying your babymoon. My babymoon was such a magical time for me.

Handiwork for me is not happening at the moment. I am knee-deep in the planning/gathering phase of preparing for Jake's 2nd Bday party( March 11). It will be a low-key, immediate family ( which is quite large) celebration but I want to incorporate all the things I have heard other Waldorf inspired moms have done. I know very lofty goals.

I am gathering plans/tutorials for making:

Bday crown for Jake

Small wooden boat ( for tub/pool time) for Jake

Applique ideas for a 2 shirt for Jake to wear

Happy Birthday bunting for decoration

Window stars for decoration

Homemade playdough for goody bags ( 3 nieces)

Playsilks for goody bags and for Jake

Yikes I have alot to do. Any thing I am missing ladies?

Waldorf Dolls!   But I have a Waldorf doll and other Waldorf and Natural toy business, so I'm pretty much always working on that!  I have three little boys under 5 with one due tomorrow, so I have limited time to work on much else. 

However my current WIP sitting on my ironing board are:

::Little Seedlings Pullover Vest for my 12mo old

::A purple doll sweater that I'm bored from and not too sure of the color

::Roving, hand-dyed in Spring colors (actually I'm calling it Easter Peeps as the colorway) and I need to spin it up.  I haven't decided if I'm going to put it in the shop or crochet an Easter hat for my new baby

::A new Waldorf Sand Baby (doll) for my shop, almost done and going in the shop soon!

::My usual blogging goodness (if you call that handwork)

:: Putting up a pattern on Rav. I just finished the pattern tutorial on my blog------------- it's a Spring Bonnet for a traditional 12" Waldorf doll and it's free

::A crocheted cap for the current doll I'm working on (the cap is the "hair" of the doll, in supersoft kid mohair---- in the sweetest of colors a little red head!)

hmmmm I think there might possibly be a lot more on my ironing board but geez this list is making me tired to write and realize that I have no time to finish it all!  I am on the verge of birth too

Keep the list coming, I love reading what people are working on ;)

I am always working on so much!  I just finished a bunch of knit easter eggs and peg gnomeys for a craft swap, which was great fun.  I think I will do a few more for my nieces and my kids Easter baskets. I have a vest on the needles for hubby...that may take forever :)  

As for handwork with the kids . . . I teach a hand sewing class to my kids co-op and we are working on quilts there.  It's fantastic to see these little kids working so hard and accomplishing so much!
