Chemical pregnany?

I am nursing my 16 month old Dd and have not yet got my PP period.  I was feeling super sick on Monday night and decided on a whim to take a test.... It was faintly positive (not super faint.... maybe half as dark as the control line).  2 hours later I took another one.... still positive, but more faint. Those were both dollar store tests.

Tuesday morning took a test with First response and negative, took another dollar store one  at noon on Tuesday, positive.... later that night First response- negative,  another dollar store test right before bed, faintly positive (a little lighter than the first test on Monday), This morning with FMU, dollar test, again, faint positive, fainter than Monday evening.  Afew hours later, a negative on dollar store.

I am still feeling nauseous and fatigue, but those are my only symptoms.  I am afraid it is a chemical pregnancy.  We have been so excited.

What do you think?  Bad test or Chemical Pregnancy?

Just fyi, I couldn't get a positive on an E.P.T or FR test until I had been pregnant almost a month. The 99 cent store test showed a faint positive wthe day before my period was due. In fact, my Dr.'s office pee test showed me as negative too and I had to demand a blood test. I trust the dollar store tests waaaaaaaaay more than any others, and I took, like, 10 of them!!! I'd go get a blood test, but I'm sure you know it;s possible to get pregnant before your PP period...all it takes is ovulation!!

Good luck mama!

You may be just in that early time when some tests are going to be negative and others are positive.  You really can't go by the darkness of the second line... each test is going to vary in how sensitive it is, even if the tests are from the same box.  I would trust the positives you are getting.  I agree with the last poster to go get a blood test to put your mind at ease if you're able to do that.

I don't know much about chemical pregnancies, but I would think that the symptoms would disappear and you would start bleeding if it really is a chemical pregnancy.  I could be wrong though.

Sending lots of hugs to you. hug2.gif Please keep us updated.

The test was another negative.... don't know what the heck is going on.  I still have moments of severe nausea and smell sensitivity.

Anyone know when I can expect AF if it is a chemical pregnancy?

No fun.

Still neg tests (FMU today and this evening), but continued nausea and now I am having some breast tenderness.  No AF yet.... What gives?

Hi Chloe'sMama,

I had a CP last cycle and just thought I'd share my experience. I had several positives mixed in with negatives and then progressively lighter positives, and went in for a blood test and my HCG levels were 8 (super low). I had taken the pregnancy tests super early because I had extreme breast tenderness and knew something had to be up. The breast tenderness started to go away and I sort of knew something was wrong because one day it was quite noticeable and then the next day, much less so.

My period came just about 3 days late, and I don't seem to be ovulating this month (BOO) but my doctor had told me that it was OK to start trying again right away....
