Thanks for the new thread! Feels good to have a fresh start :)

I'm still waiting it out, either at 13DPO or 7DPO depending on which chart I believe. I might get some OPK's if I don't get a clear idea of my cycle pattern in the next couple of months, just to see.

Hope you're all well ladies!

Yeah, Rebekah your chart does seem to jump around a bit like a saw blade edge with high teeth and deep valleys.  I have noticed that several of the data points are white, which means you took the temp at a different time.  Could you set an alarm to wake up the each time each day for a month or two just to see if getting a data point at the same time gives you a better picture of what is happening?  I used OPKs one cycle and it just confirmed what I was seeing with my temps.  I found them more hinderance than good.  I know some former BJC members used a digital smily face one (they called it the "Golden Shower Boyfriend" or "GSB").  That would seem like a better OPK than the "is the test line darker than the control line" type if you are just trying to figure out if indeed you are ovulating.

I think my brain must be totally malfunctioning. duh.gif I just noticed this thread is for TTC #1 first child that would not be me.  So sorry to crash it.  I will look for another one that is more where I'm at.  Again I'm sorry because I would never want to hurt someone even inadvertently.  Best wishes for all you ladies and lots and lots of fertile wishes for you!!!dust.gif

Hey ladies! Happy New Year!!!!!!! I've been debating whether to write or not but I just have to get this off my chest. I'm CD24 and things are looking really good. My bbs have been sore for 5 or 6 days now and I've had some quick moments of mild yet noticeable nausea. My temps have been pretty high but this morning it spiked up higher (tri-phasic maybe??). I'm trying very hard not to early test since I'm only 10DPO. A test might work but I'm gonna wait until Saturday. I'm not sure if I can hold out until AF is due next week. Please pretty please send preggo vibes.

Happy new year, ladies! I wish you all bfps as soon as possible.

DoulaRebekah, opks helped me to have a better sense of how my body worked, in combination with temping. it can't hurt. What frustrated me was holding my urine. I despised that.

Wonderful news, Dana and I'm sending you all the vibes I can! You have so much willpower!

Lilac, your chart is looking nice! And..........I think I'm ready to move to grads!! We had the vaginal sonogram and saw the baby, saw the heart flickering, and we are so thrilled and relieved! I am measuring one day ahead of when we estimated based on ov and lmp, so pretty much on track! 8w 3 days!

Andaluza, bfp on 5th month ttc, EDD 8/13/12.

I will be stalking all of you and hoping for more bfps. Let's overload the grad thread, ladies!

lilac - It is a little out of control, ha. I actually already do set an alarm but living with a baby can make waking up at the same time each day a little tricky. However, a couple of days had open circles when I had tested at the same time and I think that could have been because I had checked 'sleep deprived' when really it should have been 'disrupted sleep' which I hadn't realised was an option. Since changing this over it seems to have changed some of the open circle temps. I like the idea of using a digital OPK, I don't need another darkening line to stress about!

dana - Fingers crossed tight!!

andaluza - Thanks for your advice, I totally agree that it is always a good thing to have a better understanding of how our bodies work :) Congrats on the move to Graduates!

lilacvioletiri : Thanks to you I DID go to the doctor and I got checked for Hypothyroidsm!

My last AF was Nov.23 and i was set to start new AF dec 18... it never came.. and I had BFN after BFN I was so frusterated so I finally went to the dr. on Dec 28th and had a blood test for pregnancy and thyroid on dec 29 ... well the results were negative for both! So I asked the dr. (which was a general) what could it be then? she said it must be hormonal :-/ So I called my ob/gyn and I set an appointment for jan.9th for a sono to see if anything is abnormal... in the meantime I finally started AF Jan. 2nd... and it came with strong and hard UGH , I was really wanting to start my soy isoflavones this cycle, but with the late start and problems I had I feel that maybe I should just talk to my Ob/gyn about clomid and just pray that my ovaries are not blocked... I have 2 cyst that I know of... I really thought it was my thyroid because of me being so tired all the time and my weight gain... Oh well... hopefully will have answers jan 9th

JuicyPakwan, you are more than welcome to stay.  Most of us are TTC#1 but we have a couple people every now and then that are TTC later kids.  CA CountryGirl was TTC#2 and just got her BFP a little while ago.  So feel free to chime in to remind us TTC#1 that what we feel is normal and maybe, just maybe what we are feeling means we are actually pregnant!

Dana, do you have an online chart that we can see?  Would love to see the temp spike!  Hope more is happening today!

Anduluza, I have moved you to graduates!  Yeah!

Ok, Rebekah, I didn't remember that part of your living situation.  I know for me waking up later doesn't seem to have much effect on my temps (part of being hypothyroid?  I don't know).  After looking at your chart again, I really wonder whether your "true" DPO shouldn't start at CD23 (which is currently 7 DPO) or even CD24 since you had EWCM on that day.  Try discarding the temp on Dec. 23 (there is a little check box in FF to "discard it" but it still stays on your chart just not used in calculations).  I think you would get a solid set of cross hairs.

Shell77, glad you were able to get some blood tests done to see if you are hypothyroid.  Guess it wasn't that, from what you write, but hopefully they can find out what is going on.  Thyroid actually is a lot of what runs the "hormones" in the body.  I am curious what tests they ran for thyroid and what numbers you got back from them.  Seems to be some discussion on FF about how some doctors are going off of "old numbers" and that ranges have been updated recently.

AFM: yesterday I had terrible backache and cramps and was tired beyond compare, sore throat and runny nose, UGH.  Still needed to get grades done (didn't finish, need to get back to school early this morning and finish up).  I figured sleep was more important than grades because I didn't want to get sicker than I was feeling yesterday.  Temp dropped a bit but still normal "high".  Waiting for tomorrow...

Shell - Good luck with the OB/Gyn on the 9th! Fingers crossed you get some answers :)

lilac - Thanks again for taking a look at my chart! I discarded the date you suggested and it did move my cross-hairs to CD24, but still only dashed lines. I totally agree that CD23 & 24 are both major possibilities, and despite only BD'ing once in that window we've still got a chance! I think I'll just leave my chart like this for now, that way I can keep track of my latest possible DPO and not test too early! I'm so sorry that you're feeling sick :( But you are right, your health has to come first....which us teachers find hard to remember, but the students will still get their grades so try not too stress about it too much and take care of yourself hug2.gif

Rebekah, It doesn't look like your homepage got updated when you discarded the CD17 data point.  Glad will help you to not test too early.  Too much ambiguous results can just stress a person out.

AFM: Gargled with salt water a couple of times last night and went to sleep at 7 p.m.   I am feeling much better this morning (and will probably go back to bed in a few minutes).  Took thyroid pill.  Temp dropped this morning so AF is around the corner.  I was hoping the relaxed BD sessions this month would have done the trick.  Nope.  Last two months it has been 2 days before 1 day after ovulation.

Lilac - I hope you feel better soon! Sorry to hear about your temp drop.

Shell - Good luck. Hormones are complex and interconnected with so many body systems. I have heard that subclinical thyroid problems can cause symptoms, and recently the medical profession has been looking into more accurate "normal" thyroid ranges. I'm no doctor though :/

AFM, Had an annual OBGYN appt last week. I got in with the doctor that all my friends/respected moms recommended, so that was good. I was about to obsess over my 2WW, which is supposed to end right around now, when I took a bathroom break and found AF has paid her visit. This is just my 5th cycle? maybe 4th trying. It's starting to get frustrating in that I can't plan ahead. We haven't been timing our BDs around my cycle so 5 months isn't that bad. But I just want to know for sure what is going on in my body and what I can expect from the next several months. The uncertainty and questions are frustrating.

lilac - ha, yes.....someone had suggested on TCOYF that I set it to use temp only as my O predictor rather than temp and cm, so when I did that it shifted my O date to CD16 also! But, tested again this morning and still BFN. I guess if I really think about it the EWCM that I had close to the second O date really stood out to me and I don't totally remember what my cm was like around the 16th, so maybe the second date really is it! UGH, trying not to go a little crazy here :(

DeLurking for a moment because I've been chart stalking Lilac...big temp jump today, have you tested?! Fingers crossed for you!!

Hi to everyone else! :) Let's keep those BFP's coming!!

I know pitch!  Big jump today, but it fell below the coverline yesterday.  I am going to wait and see what happens and test Tuesday if there is still no AF by then.

Maybe it was an implantation dip?? Fingers crossed for you, friend!! I will keep chart stalking in the meantime... :)

Ah, pitch thanks for stalking, but today again it dropped down to 96.8 degrees.  I think I am out this cycle.  No AF yet, no cramps either, which is weird, but figure it will be here eventually.

Hi ladies... smile.gif

Some of you may remember me, some not. I was an active BJC member until I got my BFP November 2010. Had my babe in July, and he's so awesome I'm wanting another one - now-ish! I know I'm on #2 now, but the BJC has been my home for so long I wouldn't know where else to join, so, do you mind if I hang out here? We're not quite ready to start trying yet (probably not until April or May) but AF has returned so I'm going to start charting. In the mean time, I'd love to be part of your cheering section!

Hi everyone,

I'd like to join here. I'm 36 and my DP is 32. We are a lesbian couple TTC#1 since last April. om.gif   We started with a friend's donation -- turkey baster, low-tech method at home, but decided to work with a clinic as our donor's patience started to wear thin.

This month was our first time insemming at the clinic with frozen sperm (IUI), using clomid, and a trigger shot.  I had one folicle mature, and we insemmed yesterday and the day before. It's been a bit of a rollercoaster journey, and I keep coming across lowered success rates for those over 35.  Sigh.  Anyway, we're keeping our fingers crossed for this cycle.  (I should mention that I'm the one trying to get pregnant right now.)

Great to find this group and thread! love.gif

Welcome dandylez! I hope your stay here is short. Keeping fingers crossed for you.

Congrats on graduating Andaluza! Keep us posted?

AFM, it was all looking so good, but temp dropped yesterday and even further today so I think AF is on the way tomorrow irked.gif I do chart but I do it on paper instead of FF because my body responds to progesterone slower than normal so my temp doesn't rise for 2-3 days after O which makes my FF charts inaccurate. It predicts my O at way different times than it actually happens, so I just do it by hand. Thanks for offering to look though lilac. Sigh. I just have to keep reminding myself that we'll get who we're meant to get when she/he comes.

Keeping my fingers crossed for anyone out there in the 2WW.
