Hi! I'm Angelica and I'm new around here :) I spent my first pregnancy over at babycenter's message boards, but I think I'll try to hang out over here this time around :)

Today I got a faint BFP so I'm cautiously claiming a 9/22 EDD.  I have a 21 month old DS and an awesome DH.  We're pretty thrilled about this new addition, even though it hasn't really hit us yet.

We birthed at a freestanding birth center with a midwife last time around (we switched to the midwife practice at 28 weeks after a not-so-great obgyn experience and terrible hospital tour.) We're planning to birth at the center again. We used the Bradley method last time but I'm considering looking into hypnobirthing and using a doula this time around.  We'll see!

I hope to stick around here!

- Angelica

Hi All,

I am Sparrow, I disclose about my personal stuff on here so I will use the pseudonym for now .  I am 33 dh is wonderful, he is my very best friend, 42.  I have a 23 y/o step son in the Air Force.  We have three kitties and love our neighborhood and home.  I am a counselor but am taking some time off to pursue my family goals and go to graduate school.

I m/c id twin boys at 16w 3/11, then the next pregnancy at 6w 11/11.  This will be baby #1 for me.  We are so very excited to bring a new baby into the family.  The twin m/c was the worst thing that has ever happened to me and I am forever heartbroken.

Because of my circumstances my dreams of birth center- water birth and all that are squashed.  I am going to birth in a hospital- however I do have an amazing OB who is very popular in the birth-rights community where I live- he is married to an acupuncturist and is very alternative minded, open minded and respectful of birth plans yet deals with high risk pregnancies like mine.  I am very lucky to have such a great ob.

I am due on September 24th or 25th

So pleased to meet all of you, I hope to stick around as well- and read the rest of the 40 intros I did not get to yet- I will though, latecomer herelol.gif

Hi Everyone!  I am also cautiously joining this group as I due September 23rd.  I am really looking forward to having this group to chat!  I'm 38 and DH is 45.  We're feeling a wee bit old for this innocent.gif but we have a 3 year old to keep us on our toes.  I am a major worrier and won't rest until the first tri is over.  Well, not even then, but I'll feel better.

I will try to go back and read all the intros.  I am so distracted by all this fun pregnancy stuff - I need to really stop messing around on the internet and get to work!

I think I already joined the group but didn't do an intro yet.  I'm Amy, 33 for a couple more weeks and due 9/5.  I'm type 2 diabetic, overweight and therefore high-risk.  Dh and I have a 12 yo daughter who is the light of our lives!  He has low Testosterone and we really didn't think I could get pg because of that.  We hadn't been preventing for about 7 years.  After a while you just become complacent and figure it just won't ever happen.  I'd finally given up and decided we were done a couple of months ago.  We weren't!

I had my first ob visit today, they did a US and she said everything looked normal, could see a heartbeat etc.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you ladies over the next few months!

Hello all,

Baby # 2 on the way. Feeling great so far. I am still trying to wrap my head around all the changes that will need to be made. I am excited, but 9 months is sooo long! I hope it will fly while I spend precious time with my DS1. My appointment with the Vanderbilt Midwives (West End) won't likely be until my 11th or 12th weeks, which seems like eternity since I am only 5wks in.

I'm excited to be back on the preggo boards again!

Hi all!
My name is Suzy and I appear to be expecting our fourth! This was not planned and a bit of a shocker so I am still digesting and my DP is still in denial:)
I am due 9/22 and we have 2 DS (9 & 5) and a DD who is 3.

Hello all!  I just wanted to introduce myself.  My name is Sarah, and I am due 9/17.  I have one DS that is 19 months old, and back in September we lost our 2nd pregnancy at 10 weeks, so now we are onto #3.  I have been getting my numbers checked and all seems to be going great this time around, and was put on progesterone supplements throughout my 1st trimester.  I have my first appointment and ultrasound on Feb. 1st and that will be around 7 weeks.

Hi all. My name is Crystal and I am 29 due with #5. joy.gif This will be our last pregnancy so I intend to enjoy every second of it. EDD is Sept29 so that puts me at 4 weeks today. Just missed AF today although I got my BFP last monday.

No pregnancy symptoms yet. I am anxiously awaiting the sore bb's and morning sickness.

Super excited to be here, expecting #2 with due date 09/20.

We conceived our first child, dear daughter, on the first month of trying. Now it's taken a year of trying to get our positive, but we've got it!! Mainly feeling super exhausted at this point, I'm hoping the morning sickness isn't as bad as last time, early indications tell me it won't be (fingers crossed).

I'm a vegan and hoping to incorporate more raw foods in with this pregnancy, anyway that's what I've been craving. DH and I are toying with the idea of a homebirth, but with my last delivery I had truly terrible back labor, so I'm trying to mentally get over that.

Delighted to join the group!

Hi all!  I'm a 32 yo first-timer with a "for now" EDD of 9/14 - also happens to be my birthday!

My husband and I are super excited.  We just started trying this fall and I really wasn't expecting success this cycle with how crazy the holidays were.  But we got our first BFP a couple weeks ago and I've taken about 5 since then.  Last one yesterday to see how the line gets darker as we progress.  I still can't really believe it.  Headed to our integrated OB/MW practice a week from Tuesday for the first visit.

Feeling some symptoms - off and on morning sickness (just nausea thank goodness) and really sore bbs.  And I get so tired after 8:30 at night I'm just a lost cause.

I'm so glad I found this group - we're keeping mum with our friends right now and there's just too much to think about/be excited about to keep it all bottled inside.  Looking forward to hearing more from you all!

Hey everyone!

I'm cautiously joining this group with an "unofficial" due date of 9/28 (using an internet calculator).  I'm 31, queer, and my partner & I conceived on our 2nd try using IUI with donor sperm.  We are SO excited!  This will be our first.  We got our BFP on 1/19 (Thursday) so we are still riding the "just found out" roller coaster.

I'm aware of how common m/c are, and working on trusting that my body will do what it needs to do and trying not to worry!  Of course, I am learning from many of you out there that I am not alone in feeling cautious!

We've told a few close friends for support and it was so fun that I can't wait to make a big public announcement! :)  But we will wait as long as we can to be "sure."

Nice to meet you all.  I'm excited to connect with you along the way.

Hello ladies!

I found out tlast week that we are adding the 4th addition to our family Sept 20th.  We were not planning this though we didn't feel like we were done.  I feel like it's a wonderful surprise since I'll be able to complete the majority of my pregnancy before 35.  Our others are DD8, DS6, and DS4.  I'm kind of excited about having a new LO to keep me company while the others are in school.  It will be so weird to just have 1 home and all the others are potty trained and verbal... something I had to deal with each time with the last 2.

Looking forward to getting to know you all!

hello!

I'm teegan, i'm 25, and my first is due around the third week in september! dh and i haven't been using protection since last summer, but with buying a house and moving and a few other stressors, we were never really trying, just sort of hoping. it was so exciting to get the positive result though!

I've been vegetarian for five years, and I haven't had cravings for anything but fruit so far. i've been doing my reading, and i think as long as we veggies make sure we stay up on our iron/protein/good fats/b vitamins then we should be fine. i feel pretty great so far, so i guess it's working.

HI!  I'm ashley, 30 years old cautiously expecting #2.  Estimating my due date to be around 9/21.  Our daughter is 2.5 and so much fun (and exhausting, and frustrating and cute and whiney and amazing...like all 2 year olds).  We conceived dd on our first giddy month of trying, and this one has taken us 4 months but here we are!  we haven't told anyone yet because neither one of us would want to have to "un-tell" if anything did happen...  We're a vegan (Dh) and veggie (dd and me) house.  I had horrible nausea (only once a day or so vomiting though) starting at 8 weeks and continuing almost until i was 8 months pregnant, hoping this little one spares me the misery this time!  I didn't find my mdc due date club till late last pregnancy, so this time I'm SO excited to be here and am just loving the thought of traveling this 9 month journey with all of you ladies!!

I still haven't managed to read through all of the introductions, but I'd better go ahead and just introduce myself now. Otherwise I may have this baby before I get around to it. orngtongue.gif I

'm Tess (38) with DD1 (3) and the tadpole is due 9/14, two days after his/her sister's 4th b-day. We'll see how that goes since DD1 is already planning her birthday party. We haven't told her she's getting a little brother or sister yet; I want to wait a few more weeks to be sure before we tell her. DH and I have been married for 13 years, come April. We got pg on the second cycle of trying, which was a nice surprise. This time around I'm pretty nauseous, I had no morning sickness with my first. Definitely not enjoying that aspect of this. Hopefully it will pass soon.

I was due 3 days before my son's bday in June, and ended up having her 5 days before.  Obviously, that year the birthday celebration was very low-key (he turned 3).  A bit bigger the following year, and then last year (when he turned 5 and she 2), because they are 5 days apart and smack in the middle of summer, we had a nice joint party with a bounce house and everything.  So opposite of us normally, but man, the kids LOVED it.  They actually love having a party together now.  I will say though, I'm really glad to not be having another June baby!  Welcome!

Hi Tess!  I'm 38 too and my due date is 2 days from my DS's 4th birthday as well!

Hi everyone- sorry I'm late to the party!

My DDC from my younger daughter moved to FB when our group was archived, and we're still really tight over there....so I contemplated whether I wanted to do another one right now or not. But in the end I think it will be fun to keep up with everyone as we progress together.

My name is Emily, and during the day I'm active-duty Air Force. I stay busy outside work as a birth/postpartum doula and lactation educator, so that's my background for a lot of what I post.

I have two daughters, 2 and 1 (they're 14 months apart), and I'm currently tandem-nursing. Not sure if I'm up to nursing three, so I'm sort of hoping my oldest will wean- even though it's still sad- by my due date, which is 24 Sept. I've had two amazing, natural, intervention-free hospital births, but I'm excited for my homebirth this time around (military wouldn't approve one- long story).

Hi everyone!   I'm a little late to join but it's taken me this long to get over the shock! lol

My name is Sam, I have a 10 year old boy and twin girls who are 13 months and we recently found out that we are expecting twins AGAIN!

I was very lucky to have a midwife supported natural vaginal birth in the hospital with my girls and am hoping for the same this time around.  My EDD is September 13th, but I am scheduled for another ultrasound next week to determine what type of twins we're having and other details.

I am really excited to get to know you all!
