Tell me about the differences in Radians!

I need a new carseat as DS2 (10 months old) is getting uncomfortable in his chicco keyfit.  I've got a Britax roundabout 50 that DS1 (just turned 3) sits in.  I'm thinking of switching the baby to the roundabout RF and getting a Radian for my 3yo for FF, but don't understand all the varieties of Radians out there.  We need one that will get us from about 3 yo to only about 5 yo as we're  expecting to have more kids and thus will need to buy another carseat down the road anyways.  Also, my children are tiny kiddos (7th %).  Tell me which one is simplest and smallest!

Well, the Radian is a convertible.  I like it, and it could be a great seat to turn your child rear facing in, depending on how big he is, but there's no point in buying a convertible if he's forward facing and you intend to leave him that way....for that you'd want a combination.   Would you be interested in hearing about those?

Yep! Unless you need the space saving of the narrow radians, or would like to consider rear-facing your three year old, there probably isn't much of a benefit to getting another convertible. A forward facing harnessing seat that converts to a booster would likely be your most cost effective and longest lasting option.

Okay, thank you both for your replies.  I will have to go back to the drawing board and think about this.
