Desperatly seeking a pediatrician okay with not vaccinating, williamsburg va, but will travel

My son was born 2 months premature and has been through more then you can imagine. He is my first so I sure did have a lot to learn. My pediatrician bullied, threatened, lied, and tricked me trying to force vaccines. Every time he would come in with a runny nose they would do blood work, cathetor, even tried doing spinal taps.."Well he's not vaccinated, could be meningitus or whopping cough." TOTAL NIGHTMARE! Besides that they sent him to every specialist you can imagine, put him through all the tests in the world for no apparent reason. The specialists always say, "Why did they send you here." Anyway, he has been through so much and we cant take it anymore. I also have another on the way and am not going through this again. I am desperatley seeking a more holistic approach to health care and a dr who's okay with not vaccinating. I have spent hours looking with absolulty no luck. I live in williamsburg and am willing to travel but with a toddler and a newborn on the way I just can't go much further then an hour. PLEASE HELP US!!!!!!!! Thank you!

Does your child have any other health issues? If not...then who needs regular visits to a doctor! Well baby visits are primarly for vaccinations, I dealt with similar issues, bullied EVERY time I went to the doctors, I just stopped after 12 months. Went back for myself after 2 yrs old and asked again about vaccinations, I say the same thing each time "Ill look into it"

Don't let them harrass you, not fair. You can always go to a naturopath doctor, however if your insurance doesn't cover it, it can be costly but the visits are few per year.

I can't believe the invasive testing measures! Instead of a ped, can you see a family doctor instead?

Could try a family doctor.I know premature babies  are treated differently. I would keep shoppig around.Even try seeing a holistic doctor to get names. I recall asking for a decent ped at the hfs/chiro.

A friend of mine gave me a list by state of Dr.s who aren't necessarily for not vaccinating, though some do not, the rest do respect your choice. i will find it and post it or send it to you.

Thank God, he has seemed to be healed from all health issues and is on the right track. The only major concern now is his weight. We have pretty much given up on regular visits, so i'm with you on that one. Haha.

What is a naturopath dr???

I tried one family dr so far, he really didn't seem to have any knowledge about children of my sons age.

They are. I wish I could find like a premature baby specialist. I'm sure there is such a thing. But not in my state. What is an hfs? Thanks!!

Thanks a lot. I heard dr's are not allowed to advertise being okay with no vaccines. Do you think thats true?
