Hi Ladies, I haven't been posting much here, but am needing the support right now. I thought I was in labor last Sunday night, but it petered out. Now every night I keep hoping and wishing this is going to be it. Although I'm still a week from being due I've spent almost two months battling pre-term labor signs so I guess I just figured once I hit full term I would let it go and then BooM, labor would start. Not the case at all. Now I'm thinking I might go as long as 42 weeks like I did with my other two.

i always feel a special connection to your posts, because we also have an old, ailing dog.  we've been managing his diabetes and thyroid condition for a few years now, and having him here with us (still) has been a special part of this pregnancy.  sweet old pup...

Yes, the owner said "oh I remember a bag of rubber bands on the floor" and based on the condition of them and that they were mostly in the stomach, it seems he ate them all at once.  Not the smartest dog in the world!  A couple years ago I saw a cat that had been eating her owner's ponytail holder elastics each day...until they completely filled her stomach and obstructed her.  I don't know what would entice them to eat such things!

HCM - I totally understand needing our old dogs with us at this time.  My old guy who went into heart failure has stabilized nicely and hopefully will stay that way for a while.  I can't imagine having to lose him and have a new baby all at the same time.  It's so hard to see them get old, but it's also a special time to spend with them.
