Looking for the right potty stool

My 2.5 yo ds has been potty trained for months now, but he still vastly prefers his little potty over the toilet.  He'll go on regular toilets when we're out and about just fine, but he prefers to have his feet on the ground, and I can't say I blame him.  So I'm looking for a potty stool, that's wide enough that he can straddle the seat enough to not spray every where (he sits to pee), and still have his feet on the ground.  I'd also like it to be wide enough that I can use it as a low squat platform.  Also preferably not really pricy.  Any suggestions?

I think the regular sized bjorn is a great design. My son had poor balance and it took him until almost four to really get comfortable on and off a large potty.

I am  looking for one too. My 21 month old wont sit on the cute little wooden one we have :( so I am willling to see if another type works. I don't know which ones are good but I came acrosss this online store  which has a liot of potty training things and here is a link to their potty's for boys- I am gonna look at it and see if I can get one.

Bumping this thread to see if there are more responses! I am looking all over the internet for a potty stool- I would like to get one with a lid that looks some what like a regualr toilet- but I am not sure which one - any more ideas?

I'm not sure what you mean by potty stool. Are you wanting a potty chair or a step up to the big potty?

I have the fisher price froggy potty. http://www.pottytrainingconcepts.com/Mat-N1680.html I love it becasue the eyes are tall and no splashing out. My boys love to sit on it becasue it is a frog. It is also super easy to clean.

Snapdragon, a friend gave us their old potty http://www.tinytotts.co.uk/laugh-and-learn-potty-by-fisher-price-356-p.asp and DS loved it as a transition potty, because he likes things that look exactly like the adult versions. I took the batteries out (uh... real potties don't sing?? lol)

He quickly shifted to using the big toilet or, occasionally, a simpler little potty (IKEA) but that Fisher Price one worked well to get him started.

crunchy-mommy   the laugh and learn looks fun- I do think ds would go to one that looks like that, like a real toilet. It seems unavailable at this time in the USA though. I will see if those other ones you suggester look good to me

crunchy-mommy-   after your other post I found that one and ordered it! We also plan to use it without batteries but I think 22 month old ds will like it as it looks like a regular toilet sort of. thanks!

np glad you found what you needed!! I almost spray-painted ours white so it would look EXACTLY like the big one lol... but he seemed to be satisfied even with the blue cover. Good luck!

I like the Ikea one. My 5 year old DD can still use it in a pinch.
