What are you bringing with you?  I figured I should start packing a bag.  Even though I've done this before, I feel like I can't get my mind around what to bring and what to leave.  I don't want to be at the hospital very long so I guess I'm looking for a minimalists list.  There is a thread on Feb DDC but some of the lists are sooooo long.  I feel like I hardly used anything that we took with DS1. 

Here's what is in my bag so far:

PJ pants

bathrobe

nursing tanks

undies

birthing beads bracelet

socks

change of clothes to go home

Need to pack:

hairbrush

toothbrush

toothpaste

EMAB stretch oil

something to wear in birthing tub

birthing ball

CD player and hypnobirthing cds

ipod

charger

camera

snacks

water bottle

a few prefold diapers to use as burp cloths, nursing pads, etc

birth plan

Baby's bag:

sleepers

socks

a couple outfits

swaddling blanket

knitted hat

EMAB baby wash - although we probably won't bathe him

cloth diapers

baby k'tan (most compact carrier)

WHAT ELSE???  Also, if you wore something in the tub what was it?  bathing suit?  shorts and tank?

I wear the hospital's clothing the entire time - let me bleed on their junk.  And baby just wears their little kimono tops and swaddling blanket.  And I've learned that it's super easy to come home in the same outfit I wore in!

My list:

Glasses/Contacts/Cleaner

RX medication

Wool socks

Birthing necklace

Gifts for kids (daughter is getting jewelry and son is getting a doll - both from baby)

Birth Plan

Cooler/Ziplocks/Placenta Release/Name and number of encapsulator to call

Camera

Granola bars

Baby's coming home outfit (same one worn by all kids :))

Carseat (well, only when my old man comes to pick me up for good)

I mostly have everything together...just need to put it all in a bag.

Not much! Last time I brought a ton and used almost nothing.  My list this time is:

Toiletries - own toothbrush, paste, soap, shampoo/conditioner and deodorant.  The hospital will actually provide these here but taking a shower with my own stuff felt SO good last time.

Clothes for me to wear home - clean socks& undies, oversized long sleeved cozy shirt, pajama pants, nursing bra

Clothes and diaper for baby to wear home

Laptop and camera-- I will likely be there for 48+ hrs after birth or else I'd probably skip these
