Anyone in a virtual school able to get out of state tests?

I live in a rural area.  We have been in a k12 virtual school for about 3 years now and luckily every time they had the standardized tests they were without 30min of us.  This time they will be 1hr and 20 min from us irked.gif  My first grader has to go 2 days and my 3rd grader for a whole week.

I tried asking if we could test with a local hs group or even a public school, nope.  Is there a way to get out of taking them at all?

Check your master agreement/contract. One school says it will be within 20 miles, the other we have to drive almost 4 hours 2-3 days in a row. We plan on just making a mini vacation and visiting family although we will still have to drive about an hour to the test site. For that school those who don't show up don't get to come back next year.

When I homeschooled I had Peidmont in NC send an IOWA test. While a hassle I would tell the school to mail the test or create a location no more than 30 minutes from me.If they did not I would withdraw my child and try another eschool. If another school is not an optino then I would withdraw to homescool and do the IOWA on my own.

No way would I drive that far on multiple days. The school is already making a HUGE profit off your child. I would not be happy if they cost me money too.

Before we left OHDELA they were switching IOWA testing to online IOWA testing. To bad all schools do not offer this. They entrust you with teaching yuor child at home, and yet they can not entrust you with doing the IOWA testing properly/honestly???!!!??!
