I take the New Chapter Organics Perfect Prenatal.  It's a 3x a day pill, so a couple months ago I switched to the Rainbow Light (before I was pregnant) and it really hurt my stomach.  We thought I was somehow getting gluten contamination in my food it hurt so bad.  Then I figured out the only thing that changed was the prenatal.  The Rainbow Light is a one a day, so I think that's a big part of it.  I switched back to the New Chapter and it's never been difficult to take.  Sometimes it's hard to remember three times a day!

I can never seem to remember to take any vitamin more than once a day. I've tried many times over the years and I never remember. I like Rainbow light once a day. But I will admit that I haven't been able to take them a whole lot this pregnancy, so maybe the once a day is bothering my stomach this time. I never had problems with it during my other pregnancies.  I'm really not concerned though b/c I believe in a whole food, high raw and green content (obviously organic) diet, therefore I try to get my vitamins from my food. I'm not perfect. We do occasionally eat processed food, even fast food. But for the most part we eat very well and I trust my body is getting what it needs. And although I understand our soil is not as fertile and nutritional as it used to be, I also believe in the human body has evolved and adapted. Mostly though, I go by my body's signs of health, wellness and vitality, (or lack thereof, in which I adjust things).

ugh.. I"m back on the gummies. I PRAY that I only have one more week of m/s. I had a few great days and then my nausea started hitting me really hard in the evenings. I couldn't even get my prenatals down (or keep them down). I was doing soooo good managing my nausea and NOW... ugh. I keep saying - "one more week" because I hit week 11 monday. I will be SO disappointed if my nausea extends past 12 weeks. After gagging while driving the other day - I turned the music down and had a heart to heart with my little one. I asked for a break and a little consideration. Hopefully baby will let mommy feel better in the next week or so. And of course it's not baby's "fault" - but I though it was cute to have a little conversation with baby about my nausea. ROTFLMAO.gif

Oh - so question... I've noticed that some places say you're out of the 1st trimester when you hit 12 weeks, some say when you hit 13 weeks and some say when you hit 14 weeks. Anyone know for sure? lol

I would say week 13 starts the second trimester.  Each trimester is 12 weeks, so the 12th week is still 1st tri.

Something, for the most part you can't see your fingers nail bed, perhaps your thumb, but not the rest.

Anyway, I've seen lots of sources, but didn't save any of them.

Here are two:

"He says he sometimes tries to guess if a person has anemia by looking at his or her nails. He explains that pale, whitish nail beds may indicate a low red blood cell count consistent with anemia."

With more symptoms.

Hope that explains it better.  :)
