oh my gosh, DD HATES cold wind in the face. she makes this weird puckery mouth, foams a bit, and waggles her head around.
glad the suspense is over - how great y'all are doing a meet-up!
starling - oh, poor poor mama
. hope you made it to the doctor's without incident.
dipes - we have a top-loader. we do cold prewash (water only), hot n' heavy wash with detergent and a cold rinse and then an extra rinse. no stink issues with dipes...although we do tend to get stink issues with covers.
tantrums - DS has been having major tantrums at bed/nap time this week. this afternoon no naptime fuss. why? because i bribed him with making pumpkin pie. he had picked up a can of pumpkin at the co-op earlier in the week and told me we could make pumpkin pie. i said ok, we could on the weekend. today i told him we could make it after nap if he had no "big fuss" at naptime. he just woke up and is presently having a fuss over DH telling him he can get his own slippers from his room. oy yoy yoy.
katico - you all look happily bundled.
afm - DD seems to have finally succumbed to all the germs in our house. she's been coughing a bunch and seems to be dealing with an excessive amount of drool mixed with mucus (causing some big spit-ups, too). so far not too congested (knock on lots of wood). and...she vocalized using her "real voice" today (as opposed to the usual breathy and grunty and sigh-ey baby sounds)! she said "eh!" and then "eh!" and then "uh eh!" and nothing since. also, i got some kinda giggles/chuckles from her by singing "poop poop poooopieee poop poop poop poooopie" to the tune of the star wars theme song. it's the little things.
