Today I'm Grateful For...

I feel like I've spent too large a percentage of my little boy's life feeling negative about my pregnancy and birth and his early life that I want to make a conscious effort to point out the wonderful aspects of this new life of mine and what I'm grateful for.

Do you want to join me?? It can be something great or something small... something mundane or something amazing... I just know that I need to keep my positive light on a bit more these days... the negative light gets way too much use!!

Today I'm grateful for...

...my Kindle for allowing me to read without having to fiddle with turning pages and waking my sleeping baby!

Today I'm grateful that KJ slept the entire time I had to babysit.  I'm grateful that she latches well and eats so much and I get to breastfeed.  I'm grateful that breastfeeding doesn't hurt any more.

I'm grateful for...

... my dh who has a stable job that he loves and that provides well for our family and beyond that, a dh who is present and caring.

I am thankful that my DP is still carrying a healthy boy. She has been bleeding on and off and it started up again today but the baby is still healthy. I'm thankful she sends me beautiful pics of my bigger little boy while I'm at work. I'm thankful for the technology that lets me record this brief time so easily. I'm thankful for online community. I'm thankful for how perfect all my kids are. Brilliant, charming and changing every day. I'm thankful that I'm off work tomorrow.

What thoughtful and deep sentiments! Thank you all for participating!

And I am so thankful for such deep things, too! Just happened to be reading like mad today energy.gif

But oh my I am so, so, so thankful that Rhyko is breastfeeding (been a solid month of exclusively BFing!!!) and that my DH has an awesome job that allows me to be a SAHM. love.gif

I'm grateful...

To have such a wonderful husband. If anyone asks me what the definition of a real man is, Billy would be my definition.

That my kids go to bed easily.

That Billy accepts Levi as his.

That I have a group of women(on here and locally) that I can call friends. Seriously would be lost without most of you ladies and my local AP group.

I'm grateful that Billy has a good enough job that I can stay home as long as I wish.

I'm grateful that I'm clean from drugs and mentally stable for my kids.

I'm grateful for the energy to cook and clean to feel accomplished at the end of the day.

I'm SOOO grateful that Levi sleeps so well!

I'm grateful that DS1 and DD love Levi.

Great idea, Christina!

I'm grateful that bf-ing doesn't hurt anymore.
I'm so thankful for two beautiful, sweet little boys and a wonderful DH who I know will teach them to be amazing young gentlemen.
I'm so blessed to have this wonderful house in my favorite city, and that DH has an awesome job that provides for us so I can be at home.

I'm thankful my in-laws' visit is over.  Ha.

I'm thankful that DH is bringing me a glass of champagne right now.

Good night, all!

Good morning, today I'm thankful for thrift stores. Sewing today.

Im thrilled it's supposed to be warm and dry today. That will make roofing more pleasant.

I love his smiles so much I almost don't care how wet my shirt is.

Today I am grateful for...

... the sun.  Even though it's freezing at least it's sunny and that helps me feel less tired and cranky after getting no sleep.

Today I am grateful for...

... the internet! Without which I wouldn't have you all to help me through everything. And I'm going to my first local AP group meetup... nervous! But excited to become part of a group of (mostly) women in my area!

Christina, that's awesome!!! I was so nervous the first couple times I went to AP group meetups. But once I knew a couple people, it was a breeze. Good luck, have fun and don't be afraid to walk up and introduce yourself. thumb.gif Having a network of local women has really helped me. ESPECIALLY women of the same views as me. They give me the support I need that my mom can't give, because she doesn't have the same values.

Today, I am thankful to have hubby's paycheck, so we can get groceries.

I'm thankful for a lot of serious things, but today I'm just going to say I'm thankful for not being pregnant! Every time I bend down to pick something up off the floor and it doesn't take 20 minutes of groaning, I am a happy mama.

Thank you, Becky - it was really fun! There were some really interesting mamas there and i had a great time. Rhyko was wonderful, too! Just nursed in the sling, woke up and smiled at everyone for a few minutes, then opted to nurse some more and sleep. Perfect luxlove.gif And you're right about getting the support that you can't find from your family/friends who don't share your views... it was so nice not to feel like 'the weird one'!!

And I just have to say again how grateful I am for a BFing baby... I was convinced there for so long that I wouldn't get to experience the joy of it all, but alas here we are - despite everything. Soooooo happy! I will be grateful for his sudden change of heart for the rest of my life luxlove.gif

I'm grateful that I have my own personal sous chef in my nine year old. She loves to cook and takes orders well in the kitchen. Lol. Having four hands in there speeds things up. smile.gif
