Springfield, MA area homeschoolers

Hello!

I'm looking for a great group of homeschooling pals for my daughter. She'll be 5 in 3 weeks. I'm finding that most of my mama friends work and their kids are in daycare or school and we often find ourselves either without adequate play/social time or in a situation where any available littles are much younger. We're really in need of some age appropriate activity partners and some friends to spend time with.

I'm 33 and a SAHM, birth doula and student midwife. Does anyone have any resources? Thanks!

There's a homeschoolers group in the Greater Springfield area called pioneer valley liberated learners. They have a website open to the public at pvllearners.weebly.com. Once you are there, you can join their yahoo group.

I am not a member as I live quite a bit north of springfield - but I am a homeschooler!

Hey Mama! I don't homeschool as my son is not quite 4, but I live in Palmer.

We do LOADS of the activities at our local YMCA. Have you considered signing her up for an activity once in a while there? We usually do one of the sports things for the younger kids, but this session he decided to try "Little Chefs". :)
