Tenet/BCBS termination of contract- no waterbirth options for BCBS!!!

Anyone else affected by the Tenet/BCBS termination of contract? If you are unaware, BCBS and Tenet terminated their contract as an in-network provider, which means BCBS customers do not have access to any waterbirth options (except home birth) in Atlanta! I am 2 months from delivering my second son via waterbirth and now no longer have that option!

Please, if this affects you as well, consider calling BCBS (800-441-2273) and Tenet (1-800-743-6333) and let them know that Atlanta Medical Center and North Fulton Hospital need to be included in the in-network providers!!

If anyone else has information on this termination, let me know! Also, any midwives you recommend for Grady/Emory/Northside... I'm scrambling!

I am planning a homebirth but would be affected by this decision if I had chosen to birth at AMC (which I almost did).  I will call, too.  Any chance they'd let you keep your original arrangement since you're so far along?  If you've been seeing Intown Midwifery under global payments up to now, it will actually cost the insurance company more to have to pay them per visit for your previous visits and pay a new global fee for a new practice.

I don't have recommendations for midwives at any of those hospitals, but Dr. Dott (Northside) is very supportive of natural/low-intervention birth.  You can also labor in the shower at Northside, though there's no waterbirth option.
