What week did you hear heartbeat at? - Page 2 « Back to Group Discussions

I'm fat--no dice at 11w--we saw it on ultrasound at our first trimester screen a week later, and then finally heard it on the Doppler today (15w). But I hadn't tried to hear it since the 11w mark, so I'm not sure when we would first have been able to.

I also heard it at 11 weeks.  I was totally surprised because I am also heavy - and in my other pregnancies have heard it 4 weeks later than everyone else (16 weeks).  However, I heard it loud and clear.

It must have been "The super doppler".

OP here :) I go back tomorrow so HOPEFULLY they can hear it this week..

My OB won't use a Doppler on me because I'm having twins. He said they can't know whether they are hearing two heartbeats or one across the belly. More ultrasounds for me.

well frick. lol... i was hoping as I got bigger that rare two heartbeat issue would be more obvious to spot, and since I've not spotted it it meant there was no twins! I've only had it happen twice (despite actively looking) usually any heartbeats I find are distinctly mine or all the same rate... only twice have I found two different rates.

They found babys heartbeat at 13.5 weeks today.. beating strong at 162 <3 Now Its time to sink I am pregnant!

Maeryn- I think they always take 2 measurements of the same heartbeat and it can vary a little bit, so I wouldn't be concerned about there necessarily being more than one baby. Are you planning to have an ultrasound? If you do, that will definitely answer the question.

yeah we schedule it next week i think. i'm not horribly concerned beyond that I have most of the "risks" (not including fertility drugs, but including a very strong family history of multiple ovulation, with fraternal twins and apparently now a case of fraternal triplets in my mothers family, all of which I am blood related to the mothers... so I'm a little worried lol)
