Looking to borrow hiking equipment in flagstaff or phoenix.

I'll be traveling down to AZ for the month and will at some point be hiking the canyon. Wondering if there's anybody who has this stuff just hanging around in the winter months that they could lend me for a few days so I'm not spending hundreds of dollars for stuff I'm only going to use once. I would be so appreciative for the help and I could also barter some baking or a bit of childcare. smile.gif

With all of this, the lighter the better.

- cold-weather sleeping bag
- 40-80 lr hiking pack
- Size 8 womens hiking boots
- 1-person tent+sleeping mat. Alternatively, a bivy sack.
- Lightweight snow shoes, potentially

Thanks in advance!

Im not a hiker, but you realize 'winter' is when most people are outside doing activies in the phoenix and surrounding areas.  Today it was 'only' 75 degrees.  Finding someone who is into hiking and the outdoors who isn't using their stuff is going to be a bit difficult.

Good luck and enjoy your trip.

I'm in phoenix, so I'm aware of the weather, but I know that it's snowy in winter in flagstaff. So I thought some folks in that area might be able to share. There is a woman who offered much of her hiking stuff via craigslist, which is pretty exciting.
