hot flashes while night-nursing a 16-month-old

Has anybody ever heard of/had this problem?  She nurses in bed with me in the very early morning hours (like, 2 am etc) and I get so boiling hot that I throw off all the covers...and it's not that warm in the room.  Is becoming a problem for the other people in the bed (baby and partner) and is also freaking me out.  Didn't really happen until recently. 

Normal?  Weird?

Oh no, thank G-d.  But good to know it's not just me...
