I like Samuel much more than Charles for a first name.

As for middle name, I like Anson, Oliver, and Paxton. Though, I like Samuel Sebastian, too.

And sorry, we are having a hard time with names, too. I don't know how people have a bunch of kids. Too much pressure with names alone. :)

They are all great. But since you're having a difficult time deciding between two first names....how about Samuel Charles or Charles Samuel??? That's what DH and I ended up doing with our first son. When he was born we thought we were going to name him Cole Gregory....but I really, really wanted Julian from conception on. We toyed around with a few combos and our 2 year old son is Julian Cole. It's perfect for him and I love the way it worked out. Good luck. Naming is one of the toughest things about motherhood! I'm looking forward to hearing what you guys decide on.

Neither of us like Charles Samuel/ Samuel Charles. We both feel like those options are just too plain, plus if we have another boy we might like to use whichever name we dont give this boy to him (they are both family names). Plus, we have kind of an unspoken rule that one name needs to be on the SSN list, and one should not. That way, if they grow up and want to be normal, they can use the name that a bunch of other people their age have and if they grow up and want to call themselves something that no one else is called they can do that too. Oliver and Sebastian have both been heavily debated because of this. Adaline is a pretty rare name, but her middle name is Sarah, of which there are millions.

Right of Passage, you chose all of my DH's names, except Charles Simon. smile.gif

I am talented! lol Marvel was on my list. I totally gave up the baby naming thing. We've got a girl name, but the boy names are killing me!

I know I've been out for awhile, I still lurk.  I love Charles.  And yes I would call a Charles, Charlie.  And the middle name Phineas or Oliver.

i like best Samuel Brier/Briar.

i tend to think the Samuel names are best- I also like the Samuel Anson, just so he & A. have an initial in common.

DH's middle name is Kenton. I really love the -on suffix with our last name. It is why we picked several of the middle names (Anson, Paxton, Simon). DH was named for Simon Kenton
