I'm looking for pediatrician recommendations in the Augusta area. Â I'm about 31 weeks pregnant now and would like to start narrowing them down, unfortunately I don't know any pregnant ladies or new moms in the area. Â Thanks!

Augusta area Pediatrician Recommendations
Hi, neighbor! Â We've been taking our little guys to the Family Medicine Institute, and they are okay, but we haven't found a ped that we really love around here. Â In Topsham there is Northern Sun Family Healthcare, and they do peds work. Â Sarah and Josie are amazing, and I love their holistic philosophy, but since they are naturopaths, I'm not sure how that works with billing, etc.
Â
PS: if you are looking to meet local mamas, I just started a natural parenting group! Â We meet Mondays form 10-12 at the Unitarian Church in Augusta. Â PM me for more info!

Thanks for the advice!  I do know Sarah and Josie, I am actually receiving my prenatal care from them!  I would love to have them care for my children but you're right, we would have to pay out of pocket and that would just be too much.  Plus I'm not sure about the 40 min drive with a sick baby. They recommended a pediatrician in Fairfield who I believe had a homebirth herself, but that would just be 35+ mins in the other direction.  :-(
Â
I would love to join your group!! Â Right now I am working Mon, Weds, Fri so I wouldn't be able to come until after my maternity leave starts sometime in March. Â I will definitely keep you in mind, though. Â I know *very* few moms and they are all pretty mainstream.
