After my birth I bled for about 3 weeks and then had some small amounts of bleeding after that when my physical activity peeked. At 7 weeks post partum I had what I thought was my period. The bleeding was exactly like a period but lasted a couple days longer than my regular periods. I thought it was really rare to get my period that soon because I was breastfeeding exclusively and my kid was eating every hour. I talked to my mom about it and she said she got her period back at 2 months too. So I just assume that is what it is. Now I am at 9 weeks pp and I am bleeding just the same. Like a period. Not just spotting from activity it seems. It isn't like a heavy period but heavy enough to need a pad and change it every 5ish hours. I don't usually use pads so I don't know how heavy that converts to.

So my question is, does anyone think this is abnormal enough to need to go to the doctor? Is all of this still break through bleeding or is maybe something still not back to normal up there? Anyone go through something similar? I don't have insurance anymore so I am really worried about it being something and not being able to afford the Dr. or being normal and going to the Dr. and paying a ton of money for nothing. I don't know if my midwives will still want me to call their on call midwife for this since I am past my last appt at 6 weeks.
