so far i'm just crampy/achey, and starting to get really tired and emotional. i had really sore boobs for a few days which is what made me think i might be pregnant, but the soreness has gone away. that actually worries me a bit. with my first pregnancy my boobs were majorly sore for the whole first trimester.

I am totally miserable. I have 24/7 morning sickness that is 1000 times worse when I don't eat but I can't freakin' eat. I am exhausted, I cry at the drop of a hat, I'm bloated, I'm covered in acne and oh yay, I finally found that orange juice makes me feel better and then gives me the worst possible heartburn ever in life.

Oh and if I take my bra off, I'm pretty sure my boobs will tear away from my body because they are like boulders. Very sensitive boulders.

Poor you MamaFrancaise!!! (love your name, btw!!!). I can complety sympathise!

I had nausea 24/7 witt DD also, and I'm soooo paranoid that it starts again.  It is sooo miserable!!!

This time around, the nausea is not so bad (so far!!! knock on wood!)  but I have this weird gagging thing where even clearing my throat makes me caugh and gag.  A little embarassing when it happens during a conversation with someone!!!

Oh poor MamanFrancaise - I was sick every waking minute of the day for DS.  I am 6wks today with this one and not feeling it yet, which gets me scared... but who knows?  Maybe I am partially skipping it this time or speaking too soon...

This happened to me today when I was ordering water at a restaurant.  I was wondering what was going on as it has happened twice since.

My nausea is getting worse, too.  I have the same trouble where I am hungry but don't want to eat food. And nauseous unless I am eating food.  What a cruel joke! :)

oh no. i'm sorry for all your nausea issues. i cannot imagine and hopefully will not have to experience it. then again, every pregnancy is different.

i had a question though and it might be a bit TMI. does anybody else have a lot of cervical mucous? looms like sticky white early cycle mucous.

Can I add: Feeling full and hungry at the same time. Is anybody else getting this? It's driving me nuts.

YES, hyde, exactly! I tend to lose weight in my first trimester, and I attribute it to this confusion! I think I am hungry, then I go near food, only want a bite or two, two hours later, hungry again, same thing. And it's usually accompanied by a general bleck feeling in my stomach, not exactly sick but not wanting a meal, either.

Me too! My first pregnancy I lost 12lbs in the first tri and never threw up. And the discomfort when you do eat a full meal of a reasonable portion? Incentive to not eat the next time you are hungry! Oh, looking at the unfinished food gets me too. I used to have to cover my plate with my napkin.

Yep. I've noticed extra goopiness lately and it is kind of weird! Becaues, well, I guess I *AM* fertile... or rather, I am already bearing the fruits of that fertility!!

This has summed up my four pregnancies previously. I tend to gain very little overall because of this. Especially towards the end of things, if something looks good, I feel like I'm gobblings it down AS FAST AS I CAN because inevitably, after a few minutes/bites, it looks horrifying to me and my stomach refuses to let me take another bite. I wish sometimes that I had true *cravings* ... instead, all I end up with is aversions and can't ever figure out what sounds *good* ... so I end up eating whatever sounds the least revolting to me!

Oh my gosh, this is exactly how I feel. It's so weird, but great to know that I'm not alone!

My nausea/hyper acute smelling/food aversions/vomiting is so much better when I am on a business trip away from my sweetheart. Has anyone else noticed this pattern? Is it possible that being around him makes the hormones stronger somehow? I've been on two work trips since my vomiting started (started at the end of week 5, I'm now in week 8) and both times, i didn't throw up a single time while I was away from home. I still have a lot of aversions, but it's not as bad. I'm now going to be away from home for 3 weeks, so maybe when I get back home the nausea will be finished!

I've noticed that my uterus will be calm all day, but I get mild cramps in the evenings when my husband gets home. I wonder if you're onto something? (If so, I may be kicking myself.. I was supposed to travel to help give a workshop next week but made arrangements not to go when I found out I was pregnant because I couldn't be sure that I'd be up to it- and now I'm hearing that it might have been a miracle cure? winky.gif)

Ha! I'm like a destroyer of families. Pregnant people- leave your partner so as to not experience first trimester misery! Then, reassess your relationship! (evil laughter)

And what I wrote no longer holds true- still on a work trip, and threw up the delicious pear I just ate. All I did was facebook with my sweetheart. That can't be enough to trigger the hormones.

Hahaha.. Poor SOs, having to know that their presence--or in the FBing case, the mere thought of them--inspires extreme discomfort.

Alright, then, I'll stay in town. ;) Sorry you didn't get to hold on to that pear.

My nausea at this point just kicked in a few days ago and only shows up around 4 or 5 pm. I actually get really happy when I feel sick lol
post #38 of 65

Hi all!
Just started week six, and there's no sign of nausea yet (knock on wood).
I noticed that my boobs were a little tender a week ago (the reason I peed on a stick in the first place) which has turned into aching and swelling (on the bright side, I finally have the boobs I've always wanted!). I definitely identify with the simultaneous hungry/full thing, but I think part of that is the water I've been chugging like a madwoman (filling my stomach without feeding me).
Other than that? Today was the first day I really saw the mama glow in the mirror. And if I can glow when I'm getting up at a quarter to five to open a coffeeshop, then there's gotta be something going on.

I was just talking yesterday about how fab I feel and all - but I'm only 5w1d, and that's normal for me.  Then today it was SO hard to get out of bed, then I was super slow and lazy getting kids ready for pre-k, and then all day I've been exhausted.  Also, had Indian food for lunch and SOOOO nauseous now.  :-/

I. hate. the. fatigue. I can barely keep my eyes open and I have too much to get done but have just made a butt imprint on my couch.

Oddly enough my boobs do not hurt at all but I assume it's because I only stopped breastfeeding 3 months ago and they are still huge.
