I started out using the Target brand OPKs, but they all looked the same (mostly dark, but not dark enough to be for sure), and I don't think it was me. It was so stressful! I switched to the Clear Blue digital smiley face OPK and it was accurate and easy to read. I'm going to order some more today actually (from Amazon--much cheaper).

That's true, but the OPKs didn't really make a difference on my FF chart. We're just BDing every other day, sometimes everyday and that definitely helps

Congratulations to all of the BFPs! So excited for you guys! ![]()
Jpack and Michaels-Mommy: I'm sorry for your loss. Sending peaceful thoughts and prayers your way.
AFM: I'm on CD 16 and my temp. just jumped again. It's been so erratic this month, which isn't normal for me. DH and I have felt like we're on opposite sides of the planet this cycle. We've been so busy that most nights (that he's even home) we're too tired to want to BD. So we're probably out this month based on poor timing. I've noticed though that pretty much the moment he leaves for his shift, all I want to do is BD. Figures! He's a firefighter and lives at the station for 2 or 3 days, so there's not even the option of getting together on a luch break. Gah! Haha oh well... Hopefully, the stars will align eventually.
Good news is that we got an appointment with a new acupuncturist in Denver who specializes in fertility issues. I read lots of success stories (especially regarding endometriosis, etc.), so I'm feeling optimistic about doing this all-naturally.
Sending lots of positive energy everyone's way!

Totally have an urge to test now, it's so funny because I'm only 3-4 days past ovulation, wishing I had some Internet cheapies right about now...
I just want to know if I am or not, so I can come up with the next plan of action.

Save your money and wait a few days! Geeeeezzzzzz.... lol
Hello everyone
Can I be added to the list as waiting?
We are waiting for AF to show now (should be this Friday, although I had some light spotting last night and the night before which made me think she was showing up yesterday or today-but still no sign) and then we will be TTC. Good luck everyone!

So, first response is having a buy one get one free special going on (up to $15) and I obv couldn't resist, so I'll be testing almost every other day starting tomorrow... Plus it'll give me something to do before my scheduled AF, let the games begin

The more I deny symptoms, mostly the headache and lower backache, the worse they get and I get nauseous after every meal, I'm just assuming it's the stress.

DoulaR, will you please move me to waiting to know? I took a FRER today, BFN, big surprise. With my DD, I didn't test positive until I was late, so I don't know hy I keep paying good money to pee on something that can't tell me anything. I am not terribly hopeful, but then I have glimmers of "ooh, I could be!" Only one way to know - wait! I am not good at waiting. I am feeling better though and I my DD got the all clear from the Dr. I am really happy about my decision to stay home with her. These two weeks can't go by fast enough!
I just found out another friend is pregnant. It would be so amazing to be pregnant with friends this time - I felt a little alone last time. Hmm...

Hello ladies!
Can I be added as Waiting to be Ready?
I'll be in school in the fall semester, so if I want to have a baby soon, s/he would need to be born in mid to late December. That means I can't BD till my March O.

Stevi - Oh man, that's such a bummer :( Did you want me to put you in Waiting To Be Ready?
SkinnyLoveBC - Interesting to hear your thoughts on the OPK's. I've been thinking about using them next cycle if I don't feel like I'm getting a clear picture, and I was planning on getting the smiley face ones because I just don't want the added stress of trying to interpret another line on a stick! Good to hear about the acupuncturist! When we lived in Vancouver my husband worked a night shift 4 nights a week and it was so hard on our sex life. Not just him not being there but the whack sleep cycles meant we always seemed to be tired, so I feel for you girl! It's a rough place to be in - TTC adds pressure, too....try and get the chance to relax and set time aside for just hanging out if you can!
John16n33 - Will do! Good luck!
Cassandraz - Haha, you are out of control!
anyalily - Will do, keeping my fingers crossed for you. We've all been there with the POAS crazy - even when I know there's nothing it's going to show me I've tested. You're so right though, waiting is so good for you emotionally. We'll keep you strong! Haha. Glad you're happy about your decision to stay home, it sounds like it's really lifted a burden for you!
jeminijad - Absolutely! So glad to have you!
RavenMadMommy - Haha, speaking of POAS crazy.....kidding! The empty house is such a temptation, ugh. Keeping my fingers crossed for you this cycle!

cassandraz - im 5 dpo today and I DID have some internet cheapies of unknown sensitivity, and I DID test. BFN. Not even an evap line. I was totally resolute against testing until next Tuesday when i will be 10dpo but I unexpectedly ran home today at lunch and the lure of a quiet empty house was simply too much. Even knowing that I had FRERs due to arrive today from Amazon couldn't stop me. I now have a used pee stick in my purse (wrapped in plastic), awaiting appropriate and discrete disposal, cause my SO would be PO'd that I tested today.

Thanks for the new thread...though we are already a few days into it lol!!
A2E, Carlin, & Hoping: YAY!!! Congrats on the BFPs!!!! (and to anyone else who has gotten a BFP since i've been gone)
Could I please be moved to "Waiting to Know"? I'm 5 DPO today and hoping that this month goes better than last month did...but it's okay if it doesn't. My breast reduction surgery has been put off indefinately...and i think i'm okay with that. So I will not have to take off any on our TTC adventure like i thought i was going to have to. I go in tomorrow for my WONDERFUL pap and will be talking to my doctor about the fact that i've been off BCP since April of last year (since i only took 2 months of the pills once he gave them to me lol) I'm also going to see if he would be able to prescribe me anything other than Clomid because i found out the other day that my new insurance company doesn't cover clomid....the only thing they actually will cover is Femara and I don't know if he will prescribe it to me without monitoring and i don't know how they would code it to get away with it because i only have coverage for diagnosing IF BLAH lol i already know i have fertility issues from the second baby!!!!!!
I hope everyone is doing good....i need to go back a little bit to catch up because i've been in hiding for a little while. Everyone take care!!!!

doularebekah... No, I'm good in Waiting to O, I have other donors. That one is special because he gave me my first BFP, and had previously tested with an abnormally high sperm count. Though I was rather disappointed that his super sperm did not do the trick, I am going to stick to my plan of TTCing until I'm around 45.

Good luck, early testers! I totally get the POAS fever! :)
I've got a quick question for the mamas out there who have had chemical pregnancies/early miscarriages (maybe I could find this answer elsewhere, feel free to point me somewhere else). In the cycle following the m/c (counting the bleeding as AF/cycle day 1), did you O on schedule? That is to say if you usually O on CD 14, did you? I'm just curious what other charting women experience. Any thoughts? TIA!

My gut tells me yes, my mind says no, I'm a very logical person, so I know I'm basing everything on facts. Now I'm on a mission to prove my mind wrong (which it usually is) and its so stressful, thank goodness we are going out of town and will be busy everyday for the next two weeks.

cassandraz: Good luck with your early testing! I always get so excited to test by day 5. I'm 3 DPO now... I try to tell myself that it's so unlikely that it would show up that early even if I was pregnant, but then I hear another early testing success story and it keeps my hopes up! Haha. You're definitely right that it gives us something to do for the TWW.
brichole1214: I'm glad you get to keep TTC! Good luck with the doctor's appointment. I'm sure he'll understand the insurance issue.
doularebekah: Thanks for the encouragement and advice! You're totally right about setting aside chill time. By the way, can I be moved to Waiting to know?
RavenMadMommy: Your descriptions are so funny! Maybe you'll be like the women who stock up on pads and tampons and then get their BFP--only with HPTs instead.
I hope everyone's having a good end to their week!

Hahaha!!!! This cracked me up! Hopefully the UPS fairy brought you the test that will give you the BFP :)
