Avoiding my question.

Each and every time you get a vax you have to sign something. Yes, I'm a parent and I know. It says right on the sheet what vaccine you are getting, and you REQUESTED it. That's how you get one.

How would a parent not know? YOU brought it up.

In some cases yes, you know what your kids are getting.  However in certain circles they just do what they think they're supposed to do.  Why would their doctor give them a timeline of shots their supposed to get for their little ones to go to school if it could be unsafe?   Some people do not realize they can get an exemption, some have no idea why you would even want an exemption.  Needing daycare and putting your kids in school means you just do what you're told. 

As far as the girls are concerned, I've not heard much in the mainstream media about it.  I heard it on another forum then searched for it.  Even those articles hinted it could be the vaccine but ultimately no information regarding what it was that caused this is being released.  To anyone, even the parents.  It's considered a Federal issue.  You will not garner my trust with those kinds of answers.

All of them?  I could see one or two but it's 12.  Not enough information is out right now.  Do you really think there is no way it could be vaccine related?

The young women are prime Conversion Disorder victims because of their age and few other things. American history is full of mass conversion disorder incidences.

They don't really know because they blindly trust what their dr says..if the dr says the child needs to catch up on shots, some parents just nod and say okay and don't bother to ask what they are getting.  That's how a parent doesn't know.

I have had to sign a form each time for each vaccine. Is this not a standard?

i'm sure it is.. but not all parents read it

Not always.  I never signed anything.  My girls have most of their vaccines but not all and they've never had the flu shot.

I don't remember signing anything for my kids' shots, and certainly not one signature for each vaccine given - that would be 5 or 6 for each of the first few WBVs, wouldn't it?

I've never done five or six at a time, we do a select/delayed schedule.
 

But even if the signature isn't required by all practices, federal law mandates that a vaccine information sheet for each individual vaccine is given.

Did everyone here receive those?

Maybe you don't, but that's the CDC schedule.  You asked if signing a form for each vaccine was standard, because it was your assumption it was.  I can assure you I never had to sign anything for each vaccine.  I was always given the information sheets after the shots.

The doctor would say "OK, baby is getting x number of shots today, did you bring the shot record?  Great, I'll send the nurse in."

Yes I was trying to understand in the process of getting a vaccine how a parent could not know what they were getting for their child, so my experience is what I have to go by. Now I see that the signatures are part of my ped's practice, but that it is federal law to hand out a VIS for each and every vax given at a time. And each time you get that same vax they have to give it to you again.

Wondering if others got that; I know we did, before the shots.

Same here. Each and every time, three different children and 3 practices: VIS and a signature for each vaccine.

 It's also not the fault of the doctor, the CDC, or the pharmaceutical  company that makes the vaccine.  If someone is presented with information and chooses not to read it, it's their fault, and no one else's.
