Another low beta/ hcg thread

Wednesday, at 14 DPO, my beta HCG was 50.  Friday, at 16 DPO, it was 80.  The doctor told me to prepare for a miscarriage.  I'm supposed to go back on Monday and get checked again to see if the levels are going down naturally.  If not, they might check for ectopic.  Ugh.

So sorry, mama. I've been there. I lost my first pregnancy about a week after I found out about it. Be kind to yourself, and take all the time and space you need to grieve. hug2.gif I found wonderful support in the Pregnancy and Birth Loss forum. Know that you're not alone. Something like a quarter of pregnancies end in miscarriage, though no one seems to talk about it.

Thanks.  My numbers today were 175 (64.6 hours doubling time).  According to some sites, this is still considered "normal" but my doctor says miscarriage is inevitable.

You never know. I remember reading that doubling times vary quite a bit from pregnancy to pregnancy. I really hope yours is just one of the "slow starters." hug2.gif

I've seen several sites that say my low, slow numbers are "normal".  I'm just afraid to get my hopes up because my doctor said there's pretty much no chance.  We'll see what Thursday morning's test numbers bring.  Thanks for the support, ladies.  This is just really hard.

236 today plus spotting.  All signs pointing to bad news.  That's a doubling time of about 165 hours.  Thanks for your support ladies.  I'll try again when this is over.
