I'm expecting again! Got my DARK BFP on Wednesday and got the results from the blood test on Friday. This was definitely NOT planned, but my body must have really wanted one because my paragard IUD expelled at some point. I don't know when it happened because my husband was deployed up until last month. It certainly didn't take long to get pregnant though!
I've had two homebirths, one wonderful and one traumatic and I always told myself after my last (traumatic) birth that there would be no attendants. I just don't feel comfortable trusting anyone to respect my body during labor. I will be getting prenatal care through the midwives at the military clinic but I'm planning to birth at home with just my family.
I've gotten over the holy crap!!! moment and now I'm cautiously excited.
ETA - I wanted to add. When I called to find out about getting the blood test done I told them I had an IUD and they got me a same-day appointment where the doctor couldn't find it. So yeah. Do you think I could have pulled it out with my diva cup?
