sensitive gag reflex (sorry for gross content)

I have a 2 and a 3 1/2 year old.  They both throw up very easily.  The upside is I never worried much about them choking because I knew they would throw up if any unchewed food went too far back.  But I'm really done cleaning up puke and it really sucks for them.  We've had throw up almost everyday since Christmas (between the two of them).  We're not sleeping well and there's no way they're getting adequate nutrition.  It's especially bad when they have colds/coughs.  I've asked the ped. and they say it's normal but if I want I can take them to an ENT.  Anyway, just wondering if anyone else has this issue or if I should go ahead with the traditional medicine.  I've also been looking for a homeopathic solution but found nothing specific to the gag reflex yet.  I don't believe they have allergies or asthma (no trouble breathing).  And we are mostly gluten free (hubby and I are totally g-free) and do very little if any dairy.  Thanks!

I have no advice to offer but I've been wondering if my 11 month old may also have a strong gag reflex. It's not really posed a problem for him yet. Except that he's just not really into solids because as soon as a food has any lump in it he'll work it back to the from of his mouth and spit it out. But maybe that's age appropriate?  Well sorry you're swimming in vomit :(

Actually, I just thought of something. Maybe a SLP would help. I know they do swallow studies.
