Concerned... round ligament pain.. ectopic? « Back to Group Discussions

Last night I turned in bed- I felt a very painful pull-pop (hard to explain) near my right ovary.  I still feel pain there when I move but there is a constant dull ache.  I woke up this morning and went to the bathroom- when I wiped I had a little brown tinged mucus on the toilet paper...  should I be worried?  Naturally I am... I don't have a care provider yet- I'm still trying to get in contact with a midwife.  My old hospital midwives won't see me because my medicaid is pending- my only option is the ER and I'm not sure I'm willing to go through the waiting.. and either way it would need to wait awhile- I have no one to watch my kids until my DH gets home from work this afternoon.. He'd probably be able to leave early but he has a new boss and I don't want to complicate things.  Especially if this is nothing.

Thoughts?  Ectopics don't usually rupture until around 7wks, right?  I'm 4w6d.  I still have all of my pregnancy symptoms- when I had miscarriages in the past pregnancy sxs were suddenly gone one day and then bleeding started.  And with those I never had brown mucous- it was always bright red.

Anyone able to offer up some words of advice, thoughts, anything?

I would say the brownish blood alone doesn't signify much...but the additional symptom of the pull-pop and pain makes it seem more significant. I guess the best thing to advise would be to get it checked out, as much for peace of mind as anything. If it were me, I would want to rule out an ectopic for sure, even if it isn't one! Think positive and hang in there. Hugs!!!

Oh, and still having symptoms is a good sign. I suddenly had no symptoms the day of my m/c.

Thanks!  I'm feeling a bit better.. no more brown mucous but I kinda still want to go get checked.  I'm not totally sure yet though.
