We cosleep and it is working very well for everyone. DS is 2 1/2 months now. he pretty much sleeps through the night but will wake some nights multiple times to nurse but I am always right there and nurse him and he stays asleep untul we are ready to get up in the morning. Everything there is perfect to me.

The problem I am seeing is with his naps. He is still young and takes multiple naps a day. Right now the only place he will nap is in his swing. He is a big guy and I see him growing out of the swing rather quickly. I am getting worried now that I will have a hard time getting him to nap anyplace else. He will fall asleep on my lap while nursing and I transfer him to the swing and he will wake a little bit but be lulled by the swing and usually take a decent long nap in it a few times a day. If he nurses to sleep and I try and put him in the pack and play or crib in our bedroom or even our bed by himself he will wake up and wiggle around and after a while just fuss to be picked up.Â

I really want to wean him out of the swing and into either the pack and play or his crib which until now have only been used to put him in temporarily or to play in. Any ideas on doing this? I don't want to just put him in there and have him cry himself to sleep but maybe that is my only option? I have tried letting him sleep on me until I think he is really deeply asleep and very limp but when I move him, he wakes up if I am not laying with him. I tried laying him in my bed with me next to him them sneaking away but he only stays asleep for a maximum of 10 min and wakes up crying. I also don't want him sleeping in my bed without me there because even though we have a bed rail and he isn't moble yet the bed is high up and it makes me nervous.

Any suggestions or stories of sucess or failure welcome here. Thanks!
