Cecilia'sMom, I hope the new sleep schedule sticks! I have an appt on Thurs, but I don't think it's that important since it's more of a discussion with the ob and then she's sending me for blood tests. I am going to ask whether we can hear the heartbeat. I'm still wondering about getting a home doppler. Anyone used one or will use one?
Interesting about the discussion of when the 1st trimester ends. I have no idea, but I really just want to get past 12 w! I'm 10 w today, according to measurements at the last visit.
I can relate to those who are having trouble getting work done and feeling pressure about work. Things are going to pick up quite a bit this week since I'll have to start to be back in the office, doing the more public duties of my job, but I still have some huge deadlines for independent work in the short and long run. My sleeping habits haven't been helping, either, since I'll get some major energy after 10:30 pm and work in bed until about 12:30 or 1 on catching up. But I won't have the luxury of sleeping until 8:30 from now on, so I need to improve this. I have been sleeping so well on this schedule, though, and not waking up with mini panic attacks like I was when I was going to bed earlier. I think it just has to do with being even more exhausted the later I go to bed. But my major symptom lately has been increased tiredness in general (until I get my second wind/mental focus when I jump into bed).
I am also concerned about some long blocks of intense work I'm going to have to do a few afternoons a week--little time for food and bathroom breaks, and no coffee to help my stamina. Where is the energy going to come from, I wonder, and why the heck did I choose this schedule?! I guess it will be good to have everything done with and then go home to eat and crash.
In general I've been more active lately: cleaning, cooking, taking walks, so I do hope I keep getting more energy as this trimester comes to a close. I really need to start exercising more regularly. So far the weather has been cooperating, and I hope it keeps up!
Hope everyone has a great week!
