10 month old not wanting to sleep at night!

My 10 month old DS has been bedsharing with me since birth. He was such an awesome sleeper for the first 8 1/2 months...now it is a nightmare trying to get him to bed. All he wants to do is play, and when he does finally crash out he is laying on top of me! ( at 3am mind you) Is there any advice on how to get him to go to sleep at a decent hour? He only has one nap a day(used to be 2 but I tired just one to see if he will sleep) I am going crazy from sleep deprivation!

I find mine (one is 10 months) are harder when they have had less sleep....which is a really annoying set up. I've had some success with them having a nap much earlier than I think they need one. essentially squeezing in an extra day sleep.

I should probably try it again myself, but the thought of adding in extra sleeps is exhausting itself!
