Here's an odd question: Â I love quinoa. Â Is it safe to eat every day, or would it be a total nutrient overload to eat a serving of it every day? Â Thanks!

Well, I'm not a nutritionist, but I don't see why it would be an overload of anything. It's all natural. If that's all you were eating, you would obviously be deficient in other things, but I don't see how you could overdose on a food in it's whole state. But again, I'm not a nutritionist.  My 2-yr-old son and I eat quinoa several times a week - at least 3 days a week - and I've never felt concerned. Perhaps you could Google it.... good luck with an answer.

I think a diet with variety is healthiest (and tastiest), but I don't see why eating a reasonably sized portion of quinoa every day would be different from someone who eats rice (like many of the older members of my extended family) or potatoes (like many of the older members of DH's family) or bread (like lots of people I know) everyday. I eat some quinoa pretty much every day and feel healthier for it. I have a hard time getting enough protein into my diet so I keep some cooked quinoa in my fridge and add a little to my servings of soup, salad, etc. As long as you are eating lots of variety int he rest of your diet, quinoa is probably one of the best staple foods you could choose. Many people have rice, wheat, corn or potatoes as their staple so why not quinoa?

i agree with all the other responses - i don't think it can hurt, especially if you're eating a variety of other foods. i live in bolivia where quinoa is from ;) and we eat quinoa all the time. every other day or so, i make a big bowl of either rice, pasta, or quinoa and we use that to make quick meals during the day. tasty tasty. :)
