Thanks everyone! It's been going great. He even let me sleep almost all night last night, nursing in bed has been better then any of my others this early on.

being able to nurse side-lying or just in the bed in any position is so fabulous.  without being able to do that, i can see why breastfeeding would seem like more work to people than it needs to be.  soooooo happy for you, 100% mama!

My babe was born Monday morning (1/23) at 36w2d. It was an emergency c-section due to bleeding but there weren't any complications. Baby is completely healthy (weighing 7lbs at birth) and I feel great. I'm very much looking forward to going home tomorrow. I'll post more soon.

Wow, parsley, congratulations!!  I am sorry it was an emergency section but I'm so glad to hear baby is well!  Hope you are doing ok too and can get some good healing rest.  7 lbs is a beautiful weight.  joy.gif

welcome to the world, baby parsley!  so happy you have your babe in arms now.  i hope that nursing is going well for you two.  7 lbs is quite a healthy size for a babe born at 36 weeks- that will keep your mind at ease a bit.  my 37 weeker was only 5 lbs. but all was well with her, too.  those coming early babes can be so strong!  hope you have lots of support over the next few weeks.  love.

Congrats parsley, so sorry it had to be an emergency but so happy everything went well. Welcome to the world little one!

I'm glad everything ended well, Parsley! Sounds like it could have been a very scary situation. Hooray for getting to hold your baby in your arms!

Congratulations!
