My little guy, Ethan Thomas, was born Monday, 2/27 at 1:31pm after 4+hours at 9cm! Safe and sound at home with an amazing midwife and even better hubby. He was 8.2 and 20.5 in long!

My career is forever changed after this experience for sure!

Stella London born at 554am at the hospital just 12 hours after I thought I might be going into labor. Born the day before the induction date. She likes to make a grand entrance i guess. Keep up the suspense. I went from "maybe these are real contrax" at 6pm to 5 mins apart bumping up the TENS and moaning and groaning at 730 to 2-3 minutes apart at 9 and super intense. Then I went to the hospital was checked and was 3 and got an epidural an hour or so later. My experience with it last time was good and I dilated quickly after I got the epi and wasn't so scared anymore. It was a perfect epidural this time too because it took the pain away but I still felt the urge to push could move my legs and body and pushed her out in 24 minutes. Probably a little too fast but the urge was too strong. I did get a bit of a tear. She was born at 41+6 but still only weighed 6lb 15oz. I was scared of a nine pounder. She definitely seems well done , so I do think the date was about right. There was mec, wrinkly dry skin, long fingernails and hair, but she's fine. She's nursing like a champ. It's so much easier this time since I'm still nursing my 3.5 year old and nursed him throughout the pregnancy until right before I went to the hospital. My nipples are broken in!

After 44 hours of labor including nearly 2 hours of pushing, Dexter Daniel (43w 3 almost 4d) was born via amazing hospital VBAC after HBAC transfer at 11:58 pm Tuesday, March 6th. While it wasn't the homebirth I wanted or envisioned, it was exactly what baby and mommy needed. He weighed a whopping 9lbs 14.5 oz, with an ascyclintic head presentation. We're both tired but recovering well. My midwife was amazingly supportive throughout the whole process. More details to come later.

Congrats, everyone. Happy babymoons all around!

And HumbleLuna and OdinsMommy, I find it quite humorous that after going so late, you both birth on the same day, just like TreeRose and I did.

And still thinking of the few ladies that are still left.

Late announcement...Not overdue baby, but just getting around to the board. Our daughter was born 7:22 am on Feb 29.  It's the longest pregnancy I've had (out of 4). Labor was intense. Midwives were awesome and hubby was adorable & supportive. The kiddos waiting in the hall woke up about 6am and made themselves a palet on the floor by the door. Their giggles were funny, cause I was making very funny-to-them noises. Was cute when they figured out I was pushing. I heard them say "She's pushing.....Mom push harder..." What a cheering team we had.

We are very blessed and in love!

Maelee Annison, 8lbs, 21"

She is now 9lbs 3oz, 21 3/4"! Good Mamma milk!

Congrats to you all, Moms!

With Love,

Lori
