VBAC friendly female OBGYN in Clear Lake (SE Houston) area?

Any suggestions?  I am not pregnant and if I do get pregnant again, I will probably choose a midwife during the pregnancy.  I need a GYN for now (someone who can write prescriptions) and I don't want to mess around with a doc (even for just GYN care) who is not VBAC friendly.  Thanks.

Are Drs. Gerald and Emily Bullock in that area? They're father/daughter and VBAC friendly. I think they're at Clear Lake Regional but may have them mixed up with someone else... From what I've heard of them, they sound like pretty supportive OB/GYNs. Obviously you'd want to see Dr. Emily.

Looks like the Bullocks may actually be in the Woodlands. redface.gif I have trouble keeping things straight in parts of town I don't frequent... I think Dr. Schutt-Aine is VBAC friendly and maybe that direction? If you're not on the ICAN of Houston/Galveston Yahoo group, I'd suggest joining and inquiring there. There are other mamas in the same position and others who have gone before and have recommendations. smile.gif

Dr. Joy LeBlanc and the others in her practice deliver at Clear Lake Regional and support VBACs.  Also, Dr. Larry Milner at Bayshore  in Pasadena, is wonderful.  Good luck!

I am a Baylor College of Medicine Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist and the Chief of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Service at Ben Taub General Hospital in the Houston, Texas Medical Center.  Ben Taub is a very VBAC friendly hospital with 24/7 coverage provided by Baylor College of Medicine physicians in both Ob/Gyn and Ob Anesthesia.  I am very supportive of VBAC and we welcome anyone anytime at Ben Taub!  Dr. Schutt-Aine works at Ben Taub! I know kinda late and I'm sure you have found a provider by now. I'm currently 19 weeks pregnant and planning my second hospital VBAC. I chose Dr. Shree Visaria with women M.D in Webster. She has privileges at Clear lake regional.
