Wasn't sure I would be down at all because I just started my period but I weighed in at 165.6. 1.4 down :)

Going well everyone - I'll be back tonight to get a leaderboard happening. It will be lateish my time, so most of you will be in bed by then!!
I had an amazing week (likely never to be repeated!) with working out nearly everyday for at least 60 minutes and eating super well AND it paid off hugely!
Started 225 -- this morning I weighed myself an I am 217!! I lost 8 pounds this week! Better than I could have ever imagined. (I also had my period this week so I think 225 likely included a little water weight). WOOHOO!
I just did an online weight loss calculator to find the percentage of weight loss that is for me and it is 3.56%!

My scale is giving me different weights but they are between 118.4 and 119.2 with most at 118.6 and 118.8 so I'm going to say 119. That puts me down a pound which is pretty good for me since I'm one of those people who holds on to weight and often gains while breast feeding. I wish there was a fix for that that didn't involve total militancy. Oh well, if anyone has a solution let me know.
I'm the same way. I was shocked my weight went down at all. First time since my ds was born.
Congrats on the weight loss.

Wow! Congrats!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALLISONROSE
204.1 today! I have been weighing myself everyday and I actually lost this weight in the beginning of the week when we first started our challenge. I have been faithfully staying active and eating better. I did have pizza and cake on friday night for DD birthday party. I will have to pick up the pace if I want good numbers next week.
As for gym's I live right outside of San Francisco so I am sure there are plenty of options. I really like the JCC but it's a few thousand dollars for a years membership.
I forgot to say:
Happy Birthday AllisonRose!
Well, there is no question about who is leading the way so far. Claybear, what an effort!!
Still waiting on a few more weigh ins, so I will do the leader board tomorrow. (Not to mention I got home late - 8:45! - and I'm really tired - you guys will be proud though. I resisted all manner of junk/fast food temptations on the way home. Ate my lentil curry that was waiting for me in the fridge!)
Happy Birthday, AllisonRose! ![]()
And congratulations to everyone! Especially you, Claybear! Nice Work! We sure have lost a lot of weight this week!!
I'm joining this thread.
So depressed this morning. I am heavily involved in dance (I teach, dance myself, am the parent of dancers, all that stuff) and I have a performance coming up at the end of May. I'm in 2 pieces w/ a couple of other "old" ladies and about a dozen high school kids. I am by far the biggest one in the group. We took measurements for costumes last night and...ugh. I'm lucky they sell costumes big enough for me right now. So. I'm in a race against the calendar. I'm thinking of joining WW because even though I don't agree with everything they espouse, the program and accountability will probably work for me.
Crap. I'm too late? Sorry for crashing the thread!
I am sorry I did not post my weight yesterday - the last 2 days have been hellish - I have not had an opportunity to sleep since 5 am saturday morning . . . so this has been my first opportunity to break away from the kids needs to get online. I did weight in yesterday at 198.4#. I will post more later, but hopefully life will return to its normal level of chaos by tonight and I will catch a little shut-eye! I hope all is well for the rest of you ladies and I will read all the posts I have missed asap!!!!
Snack ideas for afternoons binge avoidance??
I do fine with meals... I just eat what I planned and move on with my day. After dinner? No problem, I have my one little coconut thingy and I'm good for the evening, even when we eat early.
Gawd I am soooo hungry in the afternoon I can't stand it. Having a cuppa joe atm trying to stave off demons.

I eat a bowl of veggie homemade soup in the afternoons. My husband makes a big pot of the soup so all we have to do is heat it up. Helps with the hunger.
Thanks for all the birthday wishes!
I joined a gym today. I worked out on an elliptical machine for 20 minutes after I joined up. I figured I'd increase my workout time gradually. I had to drag my ds1 out of the kids' club - that's how much he likes it. I'm planning on getting us out of the house earlier in the day tomorrow and working out longer tomorrow then get home in time for ds2 to do a morning nap.
That's awesome, allisonrose! good for you :)
Buzzer, sour things, especially fermented: pickles are great. I've found kombucha to be freaking magical when it comes to cravings (and the beginnings of sore throats, too). I'm a crunch person, though, and that afternoon time is when I want to crunch something, so got a big jar of Bubbie's dill pickles for my times of need. ;)
AFM--I could barely get out of bed this morning, and all day just had this deep exhaustion in my muscles. I think I've been too low-carb and/or mis-timing my carbs vs workouts. I totally pigged out on carbs tonight, though, so maybe I'll have some energy stores to draw on tomorrow.
