How's everyone doing? It's been quiet lately? Are you all On Plan?

I WI tomorrow. Hoping it goes well. The best thing ever is Just Dance 3 on the wii. I've been dancing with DD and it is so much fun! joy.gif

On plan here!! Down 1.2 from last week. Still about 3 lbs from where I need to be, and 8 from where I want to be.

Need to hit the treadmill soon. It's been too long!!

Thanks!!

Did 3 miles on the treadmill, burned 400 calories. 7 activity points!!

Also, the I put, the bar code scanner app on my phone. So helpful!!

WW changed my Daily Points. I had 30, now I have 29. Do they do this at different stages?

What do you all use for sweetener? I had been using sugar, but I'm thinking of switching to Splenda. Is it natural?

I went from 3 TB of sugar in my coffee to 2 packets of splenda sweetener.

I still use splenda based iced tea mix and sometimes I bake with splenda or stevia.  Other times, I admit, yes I just use sugar.

 

For me the biggie was in my coffee.  I didn't realize how much sugar I was using!!  And I drink a lot of coffee!  Once I added it all I up I was having upwards of 8 points a day just in coffee!  That had to change.  Slowly I was able to switch.  It took a while, probably a few weeks.  I'm stubborn like that.

Yup.  Did you lose?  They'll do that from time to time as you lose weight and your needs change.  Also with the new program in 2012, I went from having 43 points to just 40.

On the sweetener front - I use sugar and honey and maple syrup.  I've been gradually switching from having my coffee dosed with cream and sugar to drinking it black... I was using a lot of sugar!    I switched from dosing every cup to just one first thing, to a rare cup. Mostly, I just try to use 1/2 as much as I used to.  I'm not much for the artificial sweeteners. 

 

Regarding points:  typically you will lose points when the first two digits of your weight changes (so every 10 lbs or so).  I started at 36 points, after I dropped my first 6 lbs, I went to 35.  Next week, I will lose another point.  :)

This weekend has been a high food volume weekend (and not low points either!).  Hoping that I'm still within plan and have a good loss this week. . . I know that I didn't use all my flex points or all my activity points, but still worried.

Congrats bejeweled and Babycakes!!!!!    Nicely done.  I weigh in tomorrow and hope to have a loss to report.  

 

 

I am sticking to the plan loosely.  I have a rough idea of what I should eat for each meal and have been skipping desserts and snacks.  As long as I am losing with this tactic, I'll keep it up.  With a new baby in the house, my days are super full and I have a hard time tracking every point, every day.  Weekends are almost impossible to track anyway.  I'll try to  be more careful during the week though when kids are in school and I have a bit more time to myself.  

 

 

 

Monday

 

B-- oatmeal, walnuts, banana, tea with milk (7)

Thanks Ladies. I've decided to lower my sugar intake. I'm really scared of the artificial sweeteners. I like the idea of having coffee with cream and sugar occasionally. I've been trying to drink black tea daily. That way I don't use cream.

Mmmmm... On the topic of sweetening coffee and tea I am loving vanilla flavored coconut milk.  It makes my homemade coffee taste like a treat from the coffeehouse and 1 cup is only 2 points.  I only use about 1/4 cup per cup of coffee so the points don't add up too fast.

I feel like I'm getting a better handle on the plan. When I'm out I usually get some kind of chicken and fruit. Good and filling. The salads were too expensive once I added dressing.

My snacks are almost always fruit and no fat cottage cheese.

I joined WW 3 weeks ago.  First week -- lost 4.2 pounds; 2nd week -- lost 2 pounds; this week -- gained 2 pounds!  I can't figure it out.  I exercised 6 days, and ate within the plan!  So discouraging!!

 

Anyone else have weight gain like this while following the plan??  Is this just to be expected??

 

Looking forward to going back and reading through this thread, so excuse my question if it's already been discussed!

Weigh in day.  I lost 2 pounds which is very encouraging since I have been going over my points almost every day.  My little one is nursing like mad and I started walking more this week, so I must need more energy.  

 

Start date:  1-31-2012

Starting weight:  198

Current weight: 195

Goal weight:  150

 

Start of week 3:

 

B -- toast, egg, tea with milk (5)

L -- bean chili, spinach, avacado, corn muffins, chocolate  (15)

S -- almonds, orange

D -- grilled chicken, brown rice, broccoli, fruit

 

And too much Valentine's chocolate!!!!
