Oh my Goodness. Thank you! OK, so one cup of cooked Barilla penne is 5 points. And if I add meat sauce then it will be about 11 points?

probably pretty close, depending on the sauce you use and how lean your meat is.  I think mine figures out at 12 points: 1 cup pasta (love the barilla plus), Ragu sauce and 85% lean ground beef.

Yes. nod.gif I use the same sauce and pasta with 90% lean ground beef. Expensive meal, but ok if I have a bunch of veggies with it. Thanks so much Dmitrizmom.

I went to my DD's performance tonight and a friend I hadn't seen in a while said to me, "You're looking slim." joy.gif

Thanks!  I got asked what I was doing, and I had to answer, "staying in points and exercising like a maniac." LOL.  I earned 25 activity points yesterday (and boy was I tired!). My goal for the week is 50, I only need 1 to get there... and I've still got today and tomorrow.  Today is boot camp day - so an easy 13 points there.

*bejeweled - aren't those compliments the best?  Love it!

25 activity points??  What did you do??

cardio (treadmill/elliptical) for 25 minutes (high intensity)

long laps in the pool for 40 minutes (moderate to high intensity)

short laps/treading water for 50 minutes (low intensity)

Kettle bell for an hour (high intensity) - and can I just say OWWW today

Did boot camp this morning for 11 points.  (we started a little late so less time)

Oh dear...after last week's success, I am slipping, slipping, slipping.  Sick baby (getting better), ds broke his ankle, dd got new glasses, 5 dentist appointments...I have not stopped to think.  We have family coming for a visit today and then darn it, everyone is going to get better and I will be back on plan.  I think I may have lost weight this week simply because I have been forgetting to eat.

Adding a new baby to our family has been such a joy and a bit of a juggle.  My arms are always full and I am not looking after myself very well.  I know this will pass so quickly...this wee babe will be a stout boy soon enough.  But I would so like to get more weight off.

Edited to add --- and no, it is not normally like this.  I am usually very careful to keep things stressfree in our home.  Just the hand of circumstance I was dealt this week.

Wow Ruthiegirl, what a week. Yes, things will get better soon. I'm looking at this weight loss thing as a yearly plan. So if I slip up one week, it's ok, just a very small part of the big picture. I hope things stabilize for you soon and that your DH feels better.

Today is my WI day. I'm down 1 pound for a total of 8.5 lost. banana.gif

Yikes Ruthie!!! Hope things settle down and the coming week is less stressful.

congrats bejeweled on the loss!

Thank you everyone.  I was on a rant last night.  redface.gif

Bejeweled, you are so right -- this is a long term project and one bad week is just a bump in the road.  This week is starting off better all ready.  Baby is on reflux meds and feeling much, much better.  Ds is doing well on his crutches and went to school today.  I got out for a nice 3 mile walk and even did some light jogging.

Congrats on the weight loss bejeweled!

Dmitrizmom -- your workouts are intense!!!!   I imagine you feel fantastic, so strong!

joyfulheart -- good luck on your weigh in today.  orngbiggrin.gif

Weigh in tonight: -2.6 lbs.  I got another 5 lb sticker and my 25 lb whatever the heck it is. joy.gif  Total loss: 27.2 lbs.

Joyfulheart - how was your weigh in?

This week has been... off... No kettle bell as we're in between sessions. I did some cardio on Tuesday instead, but took today off (really need to do something before bed tonight).  Next week, I have kettle bell, but no boot camp.... MUST STAY MOTIVATED!  I want to keep the loss record improving.  LOL.
